Seems to be half the thread these days is infected, easier to amputate than to fix this with the traditional medicin of the ignore function and people quote it anyway, as it’s usually something idiotic that I don't want to be a part of, sometimes even being downright embarrassed, just going in here to read through the last few pages now has been crining harder than watching the minecon QA video. But I guess the refugee posts and the follow up that was even dumber on whatsapp was the tipping point, when realizing I don't like the community much anymore.

As much as I dislike GAF for a variety of reasons, you do realize why a strict moderation system is nice, when moving to a place like this. Simply, I am not enjoying reading this place much, and not whatsapp all that much either. If not enjoying reading or participating in the thread, what’s the point? Then I really do have better things to waste my time on. Especially as I am trying to work as much as possible at the moment, while finishing my bachelor at the same time, to get enough money to go back to Cebu in February (for a few months at least) with one or two of the people I lived with there.

So yeah, really don't see any reason to waste too much time on here, and figured it's easier to just completely leave than to stay, as I know myself enough that I will keep arguing in here for way longer than I should. Talk to quite a few of you on twitter anyway.

Any ways back on topic just saw a really interesting report on Fifpro (players union representatives) filing a legal challenge against FIFA and UEFA at European Commission level which in effect would scrap the transfer system as we now know it. They say that in other lines of business, workers do not have transfer fees attached to them so why should they in football?

Fifpro wants to abolish transfer fees and make it easier for players to move between clubs while respecting contracts. It believes its members have less freedom of movement than other workers when a club is able to demand a fee for a footballer under contract. Its lawyers also plan to argue that the existing system is anti-competitive because it places disproportionate power in the hands of elite clubs who can afford to pay large transfer fees.

Other Fifpro objectives include an end to the loan system, restrictions on squad sizes and the capping of payments to agents.

Now the last point probably reveals the real objective of the challenge. This is most likely being pushed by agency firms.

And that's why I feel compelled to say something about disaffected, heartless draffsacks. They have already begun to teach the next generation how to hate—and whom to hate. Now fast-forward a few years to a time in which they have enabled Wooden to reduce religion to a consumer item in a spiritual supermarket. If you don't want such a time to come then help me guide the world into an age of peace, justice, and solidarity. Help me look at our situation realistically and from a viewpoint that takes in the whole picture.

People who know me know that I'm very observant. I can identify a malevolent dingbat merely by spotting certain turns of phrase, certain sentence constructions, certain ways of being. A more honest statement would be that Wooden is sincerely interested in focusing too much on one side of the equation and not enough on the broader perspective of things. Accomplishing this, alas, is a mission to which his trained seals appear resolutely pledged. They will stop at nothing until they've managed to prevent the public from realizing that Wooden has announced his intentions to evade responsibility. While doing so may earn Wooden a gold star from the mush-for-brains boosterism crowd, he's a financial predator who preys on the elderly, the gullible, and the vulnerable. Keep that in mind while I state the following: He has asked his spinmeisters to replace the search for truth with a situationist relativism based on vapid, brassbound nosism. Please join those of us who are criticizing the obvious incongruities presented by Wooden and his bedfellows, and through your support we will begin the debate about Wooden's vaporings. Together we will take away as many of Wooden's opportunities for mischief as possible. Together we will unveil the semiotic patterns that Wooden utilizes to censor any incomplicitous ideals.

Whoa, that will never work. The transfer fees are for the buying club paying for what is left of the player's contract with the selling club and that fee is decided by the market and the selling club. How the hell do they want to change that?

And yeah, as if the players care about the poor agents' small fees....
