Funny thing is that some of the users stirring shit up are the older ones so it´s not a question of age. We have a solid group of people here that can provide some intelligent and hilarious conversations but once in a while the dark side comes up and it´s a free for all of insults and blatant trolling. Seriously, at times this thread looks like a cage full of monkeys throwing feces at each other.
We´ve already "destroyed" one place and it seems like we are heading to destruction of another. So take a step back, breath and think before you hit Submit on a post.

By the way we were banned from Gaf for something completely unrelated to football. I got banned for saying in the football thread that I didn't like the manner in which people discuss video games, and that struck a nerve with a trigger-happy mod who has banned me for non-offenses multiple times before. Then most of you guys stepped in to wonder wtf happened and Evilore blew up on us and locked the thread/banned most of our community.

The Gaf thread was hardly moderated at all, in fact it was exactly like this thread, the only difference being that some words/phrases were ban worthy. We self policed that thread like we're doing here, and any time someone got banned it was usually for being insensitive outside of the football thread or for posting in one of those OT forum threads where everyone gets banned anyway.

I know it was unrelated to football and was a joke.
How we went down is another topic, and one that's laughable.

That wasn't the point though.
The point is and was, the moderation took out those that went entirely overboard, that just wanted to shit post anyway.
And that helped alot.

We we're always rather busy, even when there was an international break.
Look at it now, there are ALOT of people who were rather active here first and barely post anymore.

You know I really liked Prinny for quite some time, but I've got no idea what happened over the last 2+ months with him.
It's just getting unbearable.

And it's rather telling that some people say "thank you" for speaking up....

So not gonna bother with them anymore, as they're trying to spin it into their direction anyway.
The victim role seems to be cozy for those that scream the loudest.

Don't have any. It's been an eventful week in terms of entertainment for me, so I plan on staying mostly at home and relaxing. Still debating whether I should buy PES now or wait for the first sale. If enough people here get it, then I will as well. In that case it'll likely turn into a PES weekend.

With the new router and Nat 2 permanent now, I am confident I'll be able to play you mates now. (all previous Nat issues from party chat to other games all work now too, so I wouldn't see why it would be different for pes)

Recommendation for everyone to relax a bit : read The Disaster Artist by Greg Sestero. If that name isn´t familiar, he plays Mark in the cult classic The Room and it´s a fascinating book. The chapters constantly switch up between Sestero´s life as a struggling actor who meets Tommy Wiseau and the making of The Room.
If The Room wasn´t weird enough, Sestero´s description of Wiseau behind the scenes makes him even more strange and creepy. If you can, listen to the audiobook. It´s actually the first time I´m listening to an audiobook but it´s worth it for Sestero imitating Wiseau´s accent.
While The Room and Wiseau are the highlights of the book, it´s quite interesting to learn about the harsh truth about starting actors and the inner works of producing an independent movie. It will be soon adapted for cinema soon, script is almost done and filming should start early next year with James Franco directing and starring as Wiseau and his brother playing Sestero.

Definitely gonna give Until Dawn a rent and blast through it this weekend. There's many different endings right?

To everyone thinking about PES, I really think you should wait. Last year it dropped to nearly 20€ on a sale on PSN less than 2 months from release and while this year seems better, I´m hearing about issues with GKs and the transfer update will take at least 2 weeks to be released so you´ll be stuck with playing online with the squads without transfers (or in Arsenal´s case, just without Cech).

God, you are right. Cola is our Wiseau.

I think you are going to like the book. It really gives you some insight on the weird man. Sestero is the perfect narrator as he makes you feel sad for Wiseau as he is clearly a lonely man who appears to have had an awful life and tries hard to make his dream of becoming star true but at the same time he was a giant asshole for everyone during The Room and he was creepy as hell to Sestero.

It's pretty sad about this community to find out that some of its members are actually really fucking racist scumbags, unapologetically so. At least on GAF they had to pretend they weren't.
