Dat Rocket League organization
Shocking starting 11 for tonight. Carrillo being off was known as he won´t play again for us if he doesn´t renew his contract but I didn´t expect Slimani and Ruiz to go to the bench.
João Pereira is back as RB, Tobias Figueiredo makes his debut this season along side Oliveira at CB, Aquilani partners up with Adrien in middle since João Mario has a 3 match ban, the Colombian duo of Montero and Gutierrez are together in front but the most shocking thing is Jesus giving the wings to the youngsters Mané and Gelson.
Really excited to see how this works out, that´s an attack with lots of pace and creativity.
Also 7 Portuguese players starting, 5 of them are products of our Academy.

By Dissonance Go To PostBaba and Hazard's interplay is very encouraging. Baba is fast, and those two dribbling runs he made into the box during the second half were lovely. Really want to see him start against Arsenal on Saturday to see how his defending is since, you know, playing against Tel Aviv wasn't a real test of his skills. He also ran all over the place and still got back into position unlike Ivanovic would have on the opposite side.I mentioned their interplay late last night after I was able to watch the second half at home. They really did look great together, but Azpili working hard out on the right was what I really enjoyed watching. This has to continue until it doesn't work because it's a clear improvement over what we've been doing.
edit: passing seemed a bit sketchy but I imagine that's just nervousness.

If we do stick with this on Saturday I imagine they won't be bombing forward as much as they did yesterday against Arsenal. But yeah definitely better than the previous games this season.
Reasonably happy with that result
Sakho was good imo
Biggest issue from that is again players backing off when being ran at, and communication when the ball is loose in our box. No point having 3 centrebacks when 2 of them keep wiping eachother out

Decent enough result for the team that was put out. Nothing wrong with an away draw in Europe.
Think sakho should have earned his place. Also feel like 3-4-3 is the best formation for Liverpool still

By Auto Go To PostBrendan Rodgers needs a defending coach
Steve Bould.
This needs to be our starting defence every week. It's amazing what a few changes can do - playing Ghoulam on the left, sliding Hysaj over to the right instead of Maggio, and starting Koulibaly, who has quite clearly become our best center back. Albiol still seemed to have some positional errors, but overall we were very solid at the back.
The 4-3-3 was a beautiful fit for us, and one we need to try more often. I love seeing Insigne as a trequartista, but the team in general looks much more composed in a 4-3-3 instead of the 4-3-1-2 we've been using. I think we could even try something similar with Insigne as a starter in matches when Higuain doesn't start, with Insigne dropping back into a Totti-like role as a false-9.

By Milchmonster Go To PostDat ParkBoth fullbacks haven't had the best day, yet they both score.
By Dissonance Go To PostDamn Schalke playing with their strongest lineup against APOEL.They got nearly nothing else.
Rotation is nearly unpossible for them.
