By FootballFan Go To PostWhat is lag switching? Someone accused me of it on rocket league the other day hahaFrom my little understanding, it causes your own connection to momentarily tank in a way that makes your movement unpredictable, and causes the game client to lose track of what's supposed to be happening. Not sure if it works on dedicated servers, assume its most effective when you're the host of a P2P game.
@Zabo, is this what Ouya backers felt like? ¬¬
Why are people talking about Italy overtaking England in coefficients? England have actually gained points on Italy so far this season and I don't see a single English team not playing knockout round football this spring (either CL or EL).

By FootballFan Go To PostHaha who takes online gaming seriously enough to do that shit lolUsed to be really common in Halo. You would force host then the host would use a macro and firewall to turn on and off restricted access. You the host would of course have all of your buddies IP addresses added to the expections(trusted) list.
Having host in P2P means you are the king especially in competitive multiplayer where skill level is very close and ping time makes the difference.

By LarchmontVanDyke Go To PostDo you remember in Halo 2 when they could freeze your game and then kill you while you're stuck in a loading screen?Yep that was what they did. After you passed level 35 you had to bridge for host. Anything above level 43 was cheater central. I remember trying to solo de-level down so that I could get legitimate competition. Couldn't even do that one day and went up 3 levels because every other team was a cheater.
Sounds like Benteke, Clyne, Lucas, Lovren and Skrtel haven't even travelled. We're fucked if we need to shake things up during the match.

By LarchmontVanDyke Go To PostHow seriously will Liverpool take Europa League this year? Seems like a good path to the CL for you if you commit to it.I think we might have to be pragmatic and treat it as a distant second. We have to recognise that we're not very god, and with that in mind we're not very likely to win it even if we go all-in. That's before the CL dropouts get involved as well. And we also have to recognise that there's nothing to suggest that we;ll do a better join of balancing domestic/European football this time around, so being knocked out early would probably be a boost to our chances of top 4. Then again, I don't think that's realistic either no matter how poor the other potential competitors have been this season.
I don't see how when Rodgers is under as much pressure as he is, he can send a legit second string team out there without a number of first 11 on the bench at least, but that's what seems to be happening. We're either underestimating it, aren't that bothered if we get knocked out early, or don't think it matters that much if we lose to Bordeaux away, which is theoretically the most difficult of the group games.
Personally, I think these group games are a decent chance to try and find a system that works without the prospect of failure and elimination being such a disaster, and that's much less likely to happen when we leave 4 or 5 of the first 11 at home.
TLDR: I don't think we'll take it very seriously in the early rounds at least, and I don't think we'll make any use of that negative attitude

You haven't got a particularly hard group, so probably don't need to try too hard at this stage.

Not wanting the Norwich game to turn into another West Ham is probably another reason for resting a lot of players. As you say, a lot of pressure on Rodgers but I'm sure he's being judged mostly on his league results.

We're going into the Norwich game petrified tbh, which is insane. If we obliterate Bordeaux and draw against Norwich, we'll be livid. If we lose 3-0 tomorrow and win 2-1 on Sunday, I'll be happy enough.
Happy to see Until Dawn getting love here. It truly deserves to be talked about.

Zabo, re: an earlier post about PES 2016. I'll not be getting it at launch for sure.
Maybe at a pre-xmas sale.
You'll still have at least Dean, n8 and bla.

I gained a lot of respect for Messi last night.
Many said his performance looked force, and they were right. But imagine being Messi and see the greatest of all time on the pitch, a player he has tried to emulate with his chips, and a player who redefined a forward's role and one that changed to the sport so much that Messi adopted his position and style.
Imagine all that, of course you are gonna try too hard.
It is why he then went to speak with Totti again. This is a boy in love, sure Totti thought it was the Brcelona mascot, but for Messi it was everything.
And for that I tip my hat to Messi
Just tried the FIFA 16 demo.
Absolutely joyless. Like it was made by incredibly competent people whose love for anything football related has long since expired and they are quite literally phoning it in.
