I'll add. I don't mind the initiative. "Student Athletes" should be going to class.

Its just debatable that they're "Students" at all.

There should be a tiered system where they can get half their paycheck in classes or get solely paid if they just want a straight ride to something like the NBA without a degree. The amount of money various athletes generate in revenue for the NCAA/University means they've already crossed the line into monetizing their "performances" and the fact that the athletes can't get any part of their image being used is crap.

I don't disagree but i don't think you'll see the initiative come from the NCAA. It has to come from federal government. Either come up with a real system, or we'll legislate it.
