yeah.Random thought.Bosh and Melo are 9x All Stars, Melo has a scoring title as well. They are locks for the HoF.
84 Draft class had 4 HOF'ers right? Stockton, Jordan, Hakeem, Charles? Am I missing someone?
96 Draft Class likely has 4 as well I think. Kobe, Nash, Ray are locked in. I think AI makes it too.
03 Draft Class? Do Bosh, and Melo make it alongside Lebron and Wade?
May take a while though if Melo never chips.

Don't think so..
He will just be this gen's Dominique Wilkins
Wilt demanded a trade from the best team in the NBA after badly choking away a 3-1 lead against the Celtics (including a game seven loss where he only made four shots). He demanded a trade to LA to play with West and Baylor. And he demanded a trade away from the town where he was born in. Wilt's team won 55 games without him whereas LeBron's won 17.
Kareem demanded a trade after missing the playoffs. He had won several MVPs.
Hakeem was accused of faking injuries by the Rockets because he hated the Rocket teams in his mid-20s so much. He hadn't made it out of the first-round in five years IIRC.
And it's not like KG being insanely loyal to a horrible franchise helped him at all.
If you want to talk about all-time greats and team-hopping/loyalty/whatever.
Wilt had already won a ring with the 76ers and had arguably the greatest season in the history of basketball in 1967 when he led his team to the then greatest record and past the reigning 8-time champions in the Celtics. LeBron hadn't won a ring in Cleveland.
Kareem had already won a chip in Milwaukee and the Bucks weren't going anywhere.
Besides Kareem wasn't doing well in the midwest personally...The racism was wearing him thin, and he wanted to be in a bigger city for his religious views...

Yep. Having gone to college in UCLA and playing for arguably the greatest coach in history, how could anybody blame him for leaving a place like Milwaukee in order to return to L.A.? And again, he had already led the Bucks to a championship. It's not even comparable for LeBron leaving Cleveland.
If Lebron had any back bone in the locker room (let's be real here Mario !@#$%^&* talks back to him) he would go to Houston and punk !@#$%^&* !@#$%^&* Dwight.
That would be funny...LeBron with a better low post presence than Dwight.
Also, I only oppose him going to the Rockets because I don't want Harden to get a ring before Durant.
Cleveland sucks the soul out of people, can't blame bron for leaving them.
The Cavs have already broken Kyrie.

I don't blame LeBron for leaving but his situation wasn't comparable to Wilt or Kareem. Also, Kareem didn't go to a ready made title contender. People forget that after the Jerry West years up until Magic the Lakers weren't a great team. Kareem was like LeBron on the Cavs during those years. He did everything he could, having some of his best offensive/defensive years but the crew around him simply wasn't up to par. Kareem didn't go to the Lakers expecting to chip the next year, rather it was an escape from Milwaukee. LeBron expected to chip the year after leaving Miami.

At least we get to watch the conflicting emotions of Embiid getting drafted 1st overall and then realizing he is going to Cleveland.

He didn't like LA as well during college.. He actually wanted to go to NY

From what I recall he went to L.A. because he knew John Wooden was a coach that didn't look at color. Also, from what I read he was impressed by Westwood when he came out after being recruited. Another reason he went to UCLA was due to Jackie Robinson having gone there as well as Rafer Johnson. He has said that seeing Rafer Johnson on the Ed Sullivan show not as an athlete but as the President of the student body was deeply impressive. Or are you saying he didn't want to stay in L.A. when being drafted into the NBA?
"Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: I think the turbulence of the '60s affected everybody, no matter where they were -- the Vietnam War, and the divide that happened to people lining up on either side of that. Also, the mid and late '60s really were the culmination of the civil rights movement, and all those things affected me on the campus at UCLA, but I thought I was in a very positive environment there. The people in and around UCLA seemed to have the right ideas on those matters, and I didn't ever feel that I had made a bad choice."

Shoutout to all the spurs and miami fans. It was a great series. There is some serious revisionist history going on in the media though about kawhi. He struggled last regular season, blossomed in the playoffs. Put up stats this season that made everyone question if he was even able to make "that next step", and then blossomed again in the playoffs. Its the inconsistency that people are overlooking, and its...interesting. If he can keep it up this time, that Pippen comparison is pretttty nice. He was a phenom for 3.5 games tho this series, and the FMVP was really a tied between him and Diaw. Looooved what Diaw did this series. Some of my spurs friends swear it should have been diaw. The grantland article tracing his time in the NBA is fantastic too, btw. http://grantland.com/features/boris-diaw-tony-parker-san-antonio-spurs-nba-playoffs-2014/
just amazing by the spurs. In Tejas, Dallas sports media has been going a little cray over how Houston fans supported the spurs because "its a texas thing," but they seem to believe that Houston didn't do it for the Mavs. Well, hard to argue when Mavs fans didnt even do it for the Mavs during the first two rounds of their championship run. Pew Pew!

Regular season Kawhi can hide in the system. Hard to D up against that on a night to night basis. Playoffs, everyone needed to step up their game. I expect him to become dormant again next year until the playoffs.
He's only the first Italian? Damn I thought someone elsewhere would have done that already
Another reason why Beasley>Gallinari

Also, from DraftExpress: The Evolution of Kawhi Leonard - from San Diego State to San Antonio
Gotta love it. It's like striking gold when you can find a kid who's game is already pretty solid but he still works his ass off to improve his weaknesses. Hope to see a long, healthy career out of him.

I vaguely remember (since I don't follow college ball and scouting like others here do) of people being intrigued by Leonard and saying that he had a unique upside and with the right situation, could be the best player out of the draft
Pretty much went to the perfect situation
i see at least 2 morans that think fuckball can win titles.
In the East, ANYTHING'S POSSSIIIBBBBBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEE!!
I'm glad I saw this graphic so I now know never to take anything Mike Huang (whoever the fuck that is) says seriously. Ever.

At press time, Heat players had reportedly agreed to just say they had won the championship since their fans would never know the difference.

So funny it's hardly satire.
From last off-season:To be fair, why would anyone count out the reigning NBA champions when they hadnt made any drastic roster moves. Gun to my head, last offseason, Id have picked MIA too. It wasnt till around midseason when their defensive lapses and ho hum effort on that end of the floor could be called a consistent pattern. I remember when OKC blew out the Heat on their own home floor, thats when opinions on MIA started to really shift.
I think the more interesting graphic would have been to see how many prisoners of the moment picked the Thunder or Clippers to come out of the West over SA, because they wrongly assumed (like Dark Faze) the Spurs wouldnt recover from g6.
Anyway, on an unrelated note, Im glad that Indiana's play in the last three months of their season ensures nobody will ever put faith in that roster ever again.
Da fuck at Mike Huang...
Was he thinking that Derrick Rose would rise from the gwave and go altered beast on the league?

pacers were 46-13 at one point in the season, they were absolutely dominant
hibbert having a huge mental breakdown along with the rest of the team melting down wasn't exactly expected

2 persons picked a Western conference team. Also, You have to be very stupid to pick an Eastern conference team unless it's the Heat.

WaitThey played on another level but fell apart. Next season they will still be there ,especially with wade being questionable.
People actually picked the Indiana Pacers?

It pays to be skeptical when a team is riding their success on an unsustainable "historic" metric like Indy did with their defense because chances are that doesn't quite represent their true talent level. Even moreso when said team has no real superstar player to carry them (spare me the Paul George talk). I think it had less to do with a "huge mental breakdown" than it did with the fact that Indiana wasn't nearly as good as people thought they were. You could say something similar about, say, the Denver Broncos of last year.
Really, the only recent (past decade or so) team in any sport I can think of that lived up to their "historic" billing were the 07 Pats. That was a team that had no real weaknesses and continued winning games even when their dominant historic offense fell off to merely 'great' later in the season.
