Man people love trolling the shit out of LeBron. KD gets trolled with that Lil B curse. lol
Cramps hurt like a mother. Cramps just has a innocuous connotation to it; it sounds like something that isn't too bad and could be played through. They need to give it a more technical term.
Muscle paralysis
just so you know he said game over for spurs last night when heat were up 7 ;)Konex: His shot has improved a lot but he's always wide open cos folks are afraid of the drive lol. I'm not going to hold that against him cos bulldozing to the rim is a talent but he doesn't shoot any contested shots unless he's in the paint..
Just amazing
@netw3rk Air conditioning went out at the Bellagio once and MJ still played blackjack for 32 straight hours

He's been absolute shit the entire playoffs. I am so ready for some team to offer him a dollar over the minimum.I will say I did get amused at Mario Chalmers trying to play hero ball late in the 4th and getting utterly demolished in the process. This was the worst fucking thing about last night
wanted to throw my TV out the window
That was a top 5 stupid Mario game. I could not believe the shit he was doing.
Tim Grover was on the radio saying that MJ and Kobe couldn't play through cramps. also, mark jackson is a fucking clown.
I'd take Chalmers as a backup for the minimum.

I was just reading Zach Lowe's article about the game and he pointed out a really dumb foul on Kawhi early in the game that his dumbass was lucky didn't get called.

MJ wouldn't have stopped just because of cramps either.
Damn. Respect to dude cramping up during mma bouts and military missions and still pulling through.
But ya, I said all along, seriously dissing Lebron for that is nonsense. Clowning for shits and giggles that's fine, but no way he plays through that.
Paul Pierce and Wheelchair Wade though? Bitchmade. They deserve all the grief they got.

Guys, in today's NBA Wilt would ride the bench.
Easy to average 50 points a game and 30 rebounds when the average center in your era is 6'7 and weighs 230. Think of what position a 6'7 230 player plays in today's NBA. 230 pounds. 230.
Yeah because Wilt not gonna bulk up for adjusting with the league..Guys, in today's NBA Wilt would ride the bench.

And its not like he keep the slim KD like build for his whole career, dude's swole as fuck past the 60's.
Why do you guys keep arguing with the village idiot?
I don't see you bringing up any valid points, moron.
Yeah because Wilt not gonna bulk up for adjusting with the league..Guys, in today's NBA Wilt would ride the bench.

I always wondered this. When people do their stupid hypotheticals, are players from an older era somehow bigger/stronger/faster if they played today? In a hypothetical situation, would LeBron/Westbrook/etc. be slower, have no handles, etc in an older era?
we've all seen when Jordan got crossed out the arena by rookie Iverson, yet people always bring up how he would shut down everyone defensively in this era even though he couldn't even keep up with a basic crossover. or how people act like LeBron wouldn't do shit because of handchecking and physicality despite him being the size of Karl Malone with the speed and quickness of a PG.

I always assumed that they were adjusting the older generation players to today's game, otherwise yea they'd get shit on by the stronger, faster, more dynamic players of today. just reminds me how tough/silly it is to do the hypotheticals.
LOL
He just finished his presser and the last question was from Wade
wade: You ready for practice man? you been talking all day, let;s go!
LeBron: We talking bout practice? not the game, but practice?

Mind supporting the claim of centers being 6'7 and 230 in Wilt's era with actual facts and sources?
Also, you do realize that Dwight Howard, Hakeem Olajuwon, Alonzo Mourning, and many other top centers were not 7 feet, right? Nor were they 300lbs like Shaq. What about guys like Shawn Bradley, Yao Ming, George Muresean who towered over the competition and still weren't as good? It's almost universally agreed that Bill Russell is the greatest defender in the history of the game and he went head to head with Wilt. You gonna argue Willis Reed, Nate Thurmond, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Jerry Lucas were laughable compared to today's competition? Who the hell does Dwight Howard have to compete against in 2014? Roy Hibbert? Andrew Bynum?

Forgot about Lopez. And Dwight lost...again. This is probably the weakest era for centers in decades but we're suppose to be calling out the 1960s, MVP? Please. But hey, I forgot that you think LeBron would have wiped the floor with MJ back in the 90s too.

You guys seriously haven't heard the stories of Wilt Chamberlain have you? Him picking up 250 pound dudes with one hand. bench pressing more than Arnold.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwvdsi6gLl8
"He played 79 COMPLETE games, didn't miss a minute of 79 games out of 80 in one season"
Arnold: "Wilt would come in and do tricep extensions. The strongest guys, the biggest guys would do 120 pounds. Wilt would come and do 150 170 pounds. That's how strong he was...He picked me up with one arm like it was nothing"
"They always said he was by far the strongest person to every play in the NBA"
"Wilt would take Shaquille O Neal, and move him around like he was a rag doll"
Yea folks, Wilt Chamberlain would DESTROY this league.

Wilt just dunked FT'sImagine if Wilt had access to HGH like Lebron.
Imagine if Wilt had a free throw coach like Shaq.
He's the most impressive physical specimen in the entire history of the league. The greatest athlete ever. Lebron's number two.
But if even 10% of the stories that people tell about his freakish strength and insane speed and agility are true, he's it.

Wilt was one of the only players who worked out in the old NBA. The other players thought additional weight would slow them down. Hard to say how great his physical advantages would be with him if he was on the same training as everyone else.

Dwight on steroid. He has a long way to go to reach 20,000.
Who the hell does Dwight Howard have to compete against in 2014? Roy Hibbert? Andrew Bynum?
Marc Gasol.
Duncan
Noah
DMC
Anthony Davis (A lock to replace Dwight in the all star game if not the 14-15 season but the 15- 16)
Andre Drummond
They're all C's i'd consider taking before dwight.
Dwights not the Best C out West. And hasn't been the best in the league for a few years.
Durant and Griffin are locks for starters in the All Star game for at least the next 5 years. I don't think Dwight will get outvoted by Love or Davis in the next seasons(Lakers' fan hate will go down). So I don't see Davis replacing Dwight in the next two seasons, especially when Dwight plays for a bigger market.Anthony Davis (A lock to replace Dwight in the all star game if not the 14-15 season but the 15- 16)

I think you might be underrating Dwight a bit, He was an absolute monster in the playoffs, even though his appearance was short lived.
I most definitely wouldn't consider DMC or Drummond over Dwight. At least not yet.
I got a cramp in my calf this morning lying in bed from drinking too much last night. Thankfully I caught it in time and lifted my toes up to release it right away. Shit's not cool.

I think you also forget how limited dwights post game still is, and how dominant it is for a whole possession.
Because dwight has to post within 5ft of the rim, it takes him AGES to get proper post position and he constantly has to re-start the battle for position.
That takes up 20seconds of the shot clock. there's no out. Yeah, he's making better moves, looking sharper, etc. But it's still an ugly and forced possession. When Houston did it in the post season, because it destroyed all ball movement, it really took the whole team out of rhythm too.
Anthony Davis is gonna be a monster.
And DMC avergaed 22.7 & 11.7 this year on .496 FG% / .726 FT%. If he could get his TO's down by 1 per game (which he could do easily, by remembering that he always loses the ball when he tries to lead a fast break, which he tries once every game) He's gonna be a stats monster too. And DMC will be 24 for all of next season.
Dwight averaged 18.3 & 12.2 on .596 FG% / .547 FT%. Dwights @ 3.2 TO, DMC 3.5. Dwights 1.8 AST, DMC 2.9. Dwight 1.8 blk, DMC 1.3, Dwight .8 stl, DMC, 1.5.
Dwights obviously the better defensive player, but he'll be 29 for most of next season. And he's not as great defensively as he once was. Still great though.
The differences in stats don't really mean much to me considering that Sacremento runs absolutely everything through Cousins. DMC is a decent passer(As is Dwight) but the ball is in his hands way too much, I think he's either #1 or #2 in USG%.Durant and Griffin are locks for starters in the All Star game for at least the next 5 years. I don't know how comfortable I am with a center who isn't a playmaker like Noah or Gasol getting so many possessions.
Dwight's possession wasting problems seemed to disappear or become pretty minor in games 3-6 of the Portland series and through stretches in the RS, he seemed to execute his moves faster and face up more when he was farther away from the rim and blow by RoLo. May have been a fluke though. His post ups contributed to the lack of ball movement and rhythm of his team in game 3 where he was dominant in the first half but I put a lot of that on Mchale, the team went to him on every single possession(Dwight probably wanted it too) and that's just stupid.
DMC has more range(but he shouldn't shoot those 16+ footers so often) and he's more confident in the moves he makes but he still has big holes on offense.
He's still fucking awful at reading the pick n roll(on offense and defense) and either doesn't understand defense or is too lazy. He's constantly moving his arms instead of his feet on help defense. He's still really bad on that side of the floor and that's kind of worrying.
DMC may be slightly more skilled on offense but it's not enough to cover up his shitty defense. Dwight is probably not as good as he used to be, on offense and defense. He's shown to be brilliant on both sides of the ball in the playoffs and had some pretty amazing runs in the past regular season but I think that he has even more to cover up on defense playing for Houston since he isn't getting help from anywhere. Harden might be a more terrible defender than Kmart/worst defender in the league and his teammates on the wing aren't much better.
I don't to come off as a Dwight defender since everyone knows he has holes in his game(as you've pointed out) but he's still a top C in this league and could very well be THE best if he sorts some of those problems out(unlikely). I definitely don't see DMC surpassing him anytime soon though, that;s probably more to do with DMC's attitude + Sacremento Kings' poison. Reminds me of your Spurs thread, imagine if Pop got a hold of DMC?
Anthony Davis will probably be the best big man in the league in the next two years and SVG is gonna turn Drummond into a terror.
Oh yeah, DMC has shortfalls in his game, but i think this was the first season you've seen a proper offense set up for that team, and he had to learn a lot through out the season because of it. But so did the team, and how to move around him.
I don't mind the ball going into his hands a lot, but i think he needs to either have a move, or pass it. Which he's ok at , getting rid of it, but needs to be better at too.
It'll be really interesting to see how they build, after the season just gone. You look at that roster and it's a bit brutal.
Dwight's post season was good. But it shows his flaws. Those 6 TO's in game 5 were rough too. He's still a good C. But... people saying "look what dwight is competing against" to try and show him up... eh, there's better C's in the league. And there are young ones coming through that i think will catch and surpass him in 2 years.

Wilt was one of the only players who worked out in the old NBA. The other players thought additional weight would slow them down. Hard to say how great his physical advantages would be with him if he was on the same training as everyone else.
You're selling him a little short. Watch the vids. He's a taller Andre Drummond with better agility. He'd eat the league.
I don't understand why people have Bill Russell super high on lists and then short change Wilt. Like, elite stats don't matter because of league quality but winning a bunch of chips does? It's a weird argument.

I'm cool with folks not thinking Wilt would dominate the league like he did in the 1960s but as you said to short change the guy is just ignorant.
