By Vivalabanter Go To PostBeen through this one many times but I imagine you wouldn't sell something you own unless you got a fair price. Not sure why this equates to being cuntish in the football world but I don't have my gentlemans guide to hand to check. How much is fair for 1 year contract? Would you rather risk a) your player being benched all year and not playing and b) not getting anything at all?
There's some greed play here.
By Cleff Go To PostMata is a frustrating player, but shows his quality enough times a game for us to play him. He's played out of position so there's a change that could be made to get the best out of him. Rooney, however, still fails to convince at all.I think it works well enough. Darmian is really good on that overlap.
The problem is we were just very wasteful. Darmian wasted the ball every time he got up the pitch and Mata picked some nice passes but they didn't result in anything.
We didn't deserve to win because we played shit in the final third. That goes for everyone.
By Woodenlung Go To PostEriksen on his way to Juventus. Him and Oscar will be good Pogba replacements.

I have something that I don't want to sell.
Somebody wants to buy it.
I'm asking them to pay me X amount and if they don't pay X amount I won't sell it.
Now which part of this is being cuntish or greedy? We don't WANT to sell him. If you WANT to buy him you have to convince us.
I don't know what the Madrid press have been putting in your head but the above explains a very simple situation and the current impasse.
Man Utd weren't great but you really don't look anything better than a well organised premier league side at the moment. You'd think you were just of really hard working players working in well trained system but devoid of real world class quality
As a side note Glenn Hoddle has been stealing a living for decades as he is both mentally retarded and legally blind.
His commentary was even more painful than Owen's.

Not even bothered to look at the team sheet...or just down at the bench from the gantry.
:lol
By Laboured Go To PostFucking hell lad :lolEuros that is. Rather keep him than get £16 million for him as his performances are that good.
Great point for Newcastle. They handled the tide of pressure late in the second half and stuck to the script the entire game; took very few chances and settled in once they figured out United incredibly one side approach to attacking.
United looked out of ideas after the first fifteen or so minutes.
Depay did nothing on the ball.
Rooney was par for his current form.
Darmian and Shaw continue to look excellent and Smalling was great again though not really challenged here.
Substitutions added nothing, though Hernandez clearly needs to be played more. It wasn't until he came on that their possession looked like it was going to lead to anything fruitful.
Kurl or Coloccini MOTM for me. Thauvin did well enough for a debutante at Old Trafford too.

Glenn Hoddle and Michael Owen commentating the same game was pure hell.
BT sure picks them well.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostHe doesn't want to play for you anymore, has refused countless offers from you.But he has signed a contract which hands his playing rights over to the club.
So what he wants isn't what's important here.
Do you disagree?

He's still under contract though.
I applaud Man U for putting their foot down with DDG, never understood why every club is expected to give in to Madrid's demands.

Its the optimism that gets ya
I mean I have faith we won't lose 3-0 today

So you sign and start a new golie, then bench your old golie hoping that Madrid make a "fair" bid? What if that fair bid never comes in? What happens then, you're just going to bench one of the best golies in the world?
What's a fair price?

But, when the transfer window ends, he will almost certainly go back into the team
Is Eriksen injured? I'm watching on my phone without sound.
edit: Never mind, I see he's dealing with a knee injury.

If it never comes he goes back into the team and plays for Utd for another season. He's a professional would expect him to put in professional performances.
Same thing happened with schnidelin last year, transfer request, didn't want to play for SOTM they said no your staying for another year. Transfer window closes and all is forgotten
Fair price I think is 35 million tbh
Why the United and Real Madrid fans doesn't get along? They are basically the same thing but in different countries.

The only cunt in this situation is DDG FYI. He's not getting his way, so he's not playing. It's that simple.
Madrid have to meet United's evaluation of the player the same way City had to meet LFC's evaluation of Sterling.
By bobito Go To PostBut, when the transfer window ends, he will almost certainly go back into the teamI'm not 100% on that tbh.. This looks like it's getting uglier by the day.

But why not allow the player to leave if he wan't to leave? it's no secret he does. And it's not like he's leaving for free by breaking his contract, clearly money is being offered here.

Why drag this further? What's the end game here? Money? I thought ManU had no money issues? Then what is it, "let's show madrid!"?
EDIT: 35 million for a golie with 1 year contract left? Jesus christ, no kidding there's no advancement.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostI don't disagree, but it's clear he won't play as he's being benched anyways.First off, let me just make the most important point of all which is this:
So you start a new golie, then bench your old golie hoping that Madrid make a "fair" bid? What if that fair bid never comes in? What happens then, you're just going to bench one of the best golies in the world?
What's a fair price?
If De Gea wants to leave, why doesn't he submit a transfer request. A formal request that he is released from his contract. Until he does that he really has zero right to be upset or to cry foul over any cuntish or greedy behaviour.
I don't know why you're hung up over a fair bid. There is no fair bid. There is a bid which convinces us to sell. We've told Madrid what that is - a world record bid.
Why should we worry about what is fair when the player himself won't forfeit the money in his contract or his reputation?
Finally - the club has already said he will be considered for selection after Sep 1st.
You can go on crying about it every time he isn't in the squad but unless you can explain why any of the above is cuntish or greedy then you don't really have a point to make.
If a player can't be trusted because of interest from another club I'd get rid like. Players need to be committed. Else you end up with another Di Maria.
Hard to swallow because they're so talented but if they'd rather be elsewhere it's probably not going to change.
Oh look, Rodwell smashing someone because he's shit.

Real is the only team that can make them feel like a small club.
Point well taken ManU fans.
I hope Perez walks away from the DDG signing and you guys keep him for another 1 year.

And I don't see the logic in turning down £25 million for DDG when they could use that money and get Lloris in, someone who wouldn't have his mind elsewhere. Perhaps they're waiting to see if RM blink and make a 30Mil offer, but ultimately I think the right decision would be to sell
