Trump is playing them so hard, either give him the nom or he'll run independent and he'll split the vote.
Good to see they finally put the police brutality issue to rest. One question, cut to commercial, we've settled that.
And now, 20 seconds on real state sponsored violence after complaining about imagined government persecution for 90 minutes.
Fox News decides to throw the hardest question in the entire debate at the sacrificial lamb that is Ben Carson.

By IWMTB19 Go To PostHuckabee shitting on transgender soldiers, suck my dick, you chicken-fuck.What were you expecting? Jeb Bush is literally the only person here who is even thinking about the general election.
Ben Carson does not have a politician's cadence so unlike the others, his bullshit doesn't sound believable
Let's get to the real issues here, did God tell you to run for president or what? How can you expect to be leader of the free world otherwise?
By Sharp Go To PostWhat were you expecting? Jeb Bush is literally the only person here who is even thinking about the general election.
I had no expectations, I just hate people that promote hate towards transgender individuals.
i mean, it's reassuring none of these people will be president, but frightening that they were ever allowed to get this far

- Dr. Ben Carson
I'm more afraid of the people in the audience than any of the millionaires on stage. They have something to lose. The next nut to shoot up a theater might be sitting in the third row.
By DY_nasty Go To PostThis actually happened?
He said it's time for us "move on", which we all know is code for ignore it.
Christie and Kasich are the candidates I dislike the least (even though Christie is incompetent and a bully) but neither guy has a shot.
By cloudy Go To PostI feel Rubio is the only one who has helped himself tonight
Does your curse work in politics as well? Lol
Thought trump did fairly well. I thought Cruz did ok too which is scary. Jen was the only one with reasonable immigration but other than that sucked
Looks like Fox has had enough of Trump. They came out swinging at him with question #1 and the post-debate coverage is all to set the narrative that he bombed
Looks like Trump "won" even going by Fox News viewers. It will be tough for them to try to support him after all this trashing once he gets the nomination.
By JayEleven Go To PostBen Carson wants nothing more than to be America's House Nigger.
didn't want to say it so bluntly, but
Carson said nothing but, I'm smart and then made brain surgery jokes. Rambled some shit about God and rambled ironically about liberals praying on the ignorant.

He looked so nervous the first half of the debate but then actually composed himself the second half to say stuff.
God, these people are so bad. So so damn bad. I mean, Kasich is the only one who seems normal.
I did enjoy Rand's flailing, however.

Rewatching the beginning now and they were definitely not red E
Thinking about it some more, I have decided I don't like the format of the debate after all. Yes, the candidates didn't scream at each other all night but the moderators had way too much control and completely controlled the agenda (which was to destroy Trump). I think everyone should be asked the same questions and individually-tailored ones should be left to interviews. That wasn't a debate last night, it was a series of candidate interviews with very little actual debating...

Yeah Kasich was good but I can't help but shake that this is my liberal side liking his more compassionate responses. Like drug treatment and counseling for prisoners. I doubt I would agree with much, but he seems genuine and not some mustache twirling villain.
Thinking back I think Rubio was probably the better and more composed while still falling in line with the far right ideals. He was just so boring.

That format is designed not to embarrass the Republican Party. Last go around was embarassing and everyone was laughing at them for being a clown car full of idiots.
All of Scott Walker's answers were nonsense at best (Saudi Arabia being more an ally against ISIS than Iran, lolololol) and I still almost fell asleep watching him. He is so insanely boring and dumb. I think the Wisconsin Republican party could have nominated a rock for governor and the Wisconsin Democrats would have lost three elections to said rock.
Rubio seems like he's obviously going to win this nomination, but then you look at his poll numbers and they're bad.

This is a good point but I think it's bad for democracy when network stars masquerading as moderators become such a big part of the proceedings. I feel Megyn Kelly won that debate more than anyone lol
Yeah a lot of the responses were blatant lies that went unchallenged because, well, everyone on the right eats that shit up. Huckabee saying science has proved person-hood at conception was like what? Everyone ignores the Sauds. TAXEX TAXES TAXES.
I tend to agree with you. I thought last night was basically a, "look how much I can tow the party line while being likable" show. Very little talk between the candidates.
I hope the dems don't do this shit.

No one challenged anyone on any talking points. Not the mods, not the participants, no one. Paul is someone earlier this year that I seriously would have looked at as a contender. But he's since backed way the fuck off and has sided more and more with the party's talking points. He's gutless and reeks of desperation.
Anyway, so much of the two hours felt scripted to me. That was the most disappointing thing of all because we all wanted a freak sideshow to discuss until the next debate and we really didn't get it.
I thought Trump did well and stayed true to himself. He's also still in his first form. When he hits that next level these motherfuckers are done.

ben carson really just took a surgeon's perspective on "I don't see color" by saying we're all pink on the inside? foh lol

Rubio and Carson are minorities, but while black Americans may be more willing to go out and vote for a black Democrat rather than stay at home if a white Democrat was nominated (which certainly isn't true for all black Americans), very few would vote for a black Republican who claims that race relations are fine in America. Additionally, you would also scare away conservatives who fear that having another black president would further stir the pot of race issues in the public eye.
Rubio seems like he's obviously going to win this nomination, but then you look at his poll numbers and they're bad.
For Rubio, you'd have a sizable chunk of conservatives who fear/hate how Hispanics now have such a large say in American society and would be less than inspired to vote for a Hispanic guy (from communist Cuba no less).
Jeb Bush would probably be most in line with what hardcore Republicans want, but his name is pretty toxic with moderates.
That just leaves a bunch of people that the average American knows little to nothing about like Walker, Kasich, etc. If I were to guess, I'd say they will end up with a Bush/Rubio ticket, but if polling doesn't improve for them soon, they may get desperate and try to go Trump/Rubio. Having Rubio as the VP would be their concession to Hispanic voters without giving the impression that Hispanics are taking over the country.
