on my iphone chrome, do I have to hit "menu" to be able to do a quick reply? Or am I missing something? I can quote someone easily, but hitting menu for a reply seems like extra work.

Sorry I've been MIA (Miami) recently.
A good day is when I leave work before 8pm. I'm anticipating it to slow down this week so I'll keep everyone updated.

Over the next week I'm going to post a Fantasy Football League interest thread I'm making, a continuation of the NeoGAF Paypal Fantasy Football league cloudy has run for over 6 years. I'm going to be inviting alot of GAFfers who were former participants over the last 5 years in register here, with the end goal being once we get setup, the league thread transitions to the beta forum in late August.
Might pull in 20 people at least since it'll be a 16-man league.

Login button on the home page doesn't work anymore or in any of the sections, I have to enter a thread then use the login button.
I dunno, login button is fucked up, I have to scroll down past the thread pic header for it to be clickable.
Latest Chrome btw

Will there be a mobile forum site? The skin is responsive already, but not completely finished. If you visit the beta site on your mobile it'll be what you need it to be.
Sorry guys, just realized that the menu was inaccessible on the beta due to a CSS bug. Should be working again. Will possibly post some more updates the next few days with ideas I've had in my head.
mobile is already pretty snazzy, but the 'new reply' at the top only takes you back to the original post.
You have to click menu then new reply to post on mobile

Just tested it on my device and it didn't do that. Strange. Can you try to replicate your steps?
Also, please be sure to clear any cache. I haven't done any sort of cache busting for my assets.
I've been spending a lot of time this weekend taking the visual UI/theme that I have come up with and tweaking it to create a lot more visual consistency all around. So you'll notice changes to the cover area to have a similar flow now to a normal post, more consistent white space and font usage, etc. More changes to come!
Small update to mobile: To activate Quote, Link, Edit and Post History, hit the vertical ellipsis button.
Also introduced some new menu animations for mobile.

Pushed some more design updates and cleaned up a ton of UI inconsitencies that have been bugging me. Some smaller updates to come for 1.0.
We are also upgrading to Django 1.7 and Python 3, which will happen shortly.
Please clear your cache until I implement asset caching into tbe production code.

Making good progress on the migration scripts.
(The main thing missing is user avatars).
Edit: Bah, I think I broke dates with one of my recent changes, but those were working too. Going to refix them :)
Edit 2: Dates are fixed.

Avatars are working. Caveat: they're only working for people who used JPEGs for their avatars. If you want your avatar to be transferred, please upload it as a JPEG.
Edit: Full text search implemented.

Good job, Snark, rolio.
Do we have a logo for the website?
Logo will come later. Gonna Gmail it until then and leave in the Beta :D
Got search integrated into the menu. Updated the menu UI.
At this point I am going to call the UI complete for 1.0. There are bugs and kinks and cross-browser stuff to work through, but for now it is finished.
We are in the home stretch. Working on a deployment script. We got migrations and search working. Now it's just dev ops stuff to take care of for official migration to thew new software. Hold tight!
Dev Ops To-Dos:
- Convert to Python3
- Convert to Django 1.7
- Host assets on CDN
- Integration with RDS database
- Some security tweaks
- Password reset form
- Deployment script
so it worked
Na. No ass kissing involved this time.
How does that explain your bromance with h3ro?
you so jelly that i robbed you of a potential bromance of a fellow doctor.
WHY AREN'T YOU MOFOS JOINING THE LEAGUE SO I CAN KICK YO ASS AND TAKE YOUR MONEY?
(computer programming jargon)

Done.
Getting closer and closer. Updated To-Dos:
- Some security tweaks
- Password reset form
Are we going to be able to use spaces in our usernames or is that still a bit iffy?Sharp and I discussed this and I was going to bring it up to him again. I think spaces in usernames should be a-okay, there's just some odd decision making on the framework we are using that disallows it, so we have to write something to get around it:
https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/ref/contrib/auth/#django.contrib.auth.models.User.username
I hope tags aren't something everyone can use. I actually like the idea of tags being somewhat exclusive.
And are tags still coming eventually?Technically we have 'tags', that's what forums are in the backend.
But I am unsure how you envision tags being used. Can you expand?

Same way they're used on GAF.
I hope tags aren't something everyone can use. I actually like the idea of tags being somewhat exclusive. We've actually discussed an implementation of tags that would allow anyone to use them, but still keep tags mostly working the way they are in GAF. Part of our security model is that moderators can't do many things that users can't do themselves, so it will be a bit different than you're used to. I'll go into more detail when we actually get around to implementing it.
See Sharp, I keep hearing a lot of yakking about implementation of tags and not enough about you joining my fanatasy football league.
I'm kinda surprised at the lack of participation in the league on this board. All you guys can't just be NBA heads/not into fantasy crap. I know the Madden Fantasy League is also going on but still :(. This is the first SLAENT major fantasy event, show some pride for your new forum!

Eventhough we are an active community, we are still very small, so it's a numbers game to get 10-15-20 whatever people to join up.
