By SuperMalo Go To PostWho?
The A-Gawd revenge tour has been great.
True story. That's the name of my fantasy team lol
By blackace Go To Postlol really? what a shitty thread…
Don't be a bitter Seattle fan :p
By Hitch Go To PostAndy Roddick is the true A-Rodcame here for this.
I've never really cared for A-Rod but I've been pulling for him to stick it to the piece of shit Yankees. Garbage organization, the two sons comparable to Jim Buss. I wonder how hard they're trying to get rid of him now.
By cloudy Go To PostDon't be a bitter Seattle fan :pbetter than being a Kobe LBJ A-Rod
By reilo Go To PostOf course Konex would be a Kobe and A-Rod stan. Of course.
What can I say, I am drawn to great players who get hated on lol
The truth is, I got really into sports around 96/97 and they were the young up and coming stars back then. I've followed both of their entire careers along with Peyton Manning :)
A-Rod was young and upcoming in 96? Didn't he almost become the youngest MVP of all time that season? Konex pls.

It was his first full season in the Majors

By SuperMalo Go To PostI guess you'd know about shit organizations, being a Marlins' fan.Yes. Yes I would.
But we're a shit organization with no money. The Yankees print money. They have no excuse!
And they're not going to vote this guy in the hall of fame, at least not any time soon. What a fucking joke

It's really stupid and shows why sportswriters should not control HOF voting.

I'm not a fan, but I do think leaving these PED athletes out of the hall is really stupid.

Guys like Bonds and Mac really are getting the shaft because when shit was going down PEDs weren't even banned in baseball... A-rod did continue using after the witch hunt and most likely will be extra shat on..

This is true and a point I had not considered.
By Fenderputty Go To PostI'm not a fan, but I do think leaving these PED athletes out of the hall is really stupid. It is because:
1) Nobody can measure to what extent using PEDs will help an athlete.
2) Regardless of using PEDs they still need to put in the work.
There's been multiple eras in baseball. Stick a "player during" the steroid era by their name.
Stick Rose in too while you're at it

actually Bonds and Brett Boone are great before PEDs after PEDs cases for how much your game can improve from the use of PEDs.
Especially Bonds... went from almost sure hof to cheat codes for baseball sim 1.000.
By ph33nix Go To PostBarry Bonds up until 2000 was a no doubt HOFer to me
that's the point tho... once he was using he became a demi-god in baseball
I don't understand...there are A-Rod apologists and fans out there?
We New Yorkers don't even like him. What the fuck is this?

So you'd rather have your team be complete trash this year, would have been content getting rid of him either way?
If the answer is yes I respect that, but I'll bet you the organization is glad it has him right now whereas months ago they were getting angry over him SHOWING UP EARLY.
I'm not an A-Rod stan---never felt too strongly one way or the other. But he was getting treated like shit. Perhaps it was karma but I've never thought he was really a bad guy. Just an alpha talent with a beta personality who had been led astray. I am happy the guy is making amends for himself and has seemed to turn it around. I'm not a fan of people continuing to treat him like shit just because.

lol really?
By blackace Go To Postlol really?Ya rly
I don't see why his past matters now as long as he's moving forward. And it's not like he engaged in actual criminal activity in his past.
Also, know what pain it causes me to agree with Konex on anything.

I don't care what the Yankees do either way. I'm a Mets fan. Which means my life is an endless spiral of sports clusterfuckery. A Knick fan and a Mets fan...
Thank God I picked the right football team when I was young, though.
But all of my other friends are Yankees fans and dislike A-Rod.
By blackace Go To Postuh yes he has… by law…oh please
next you're gonna tell me that marijuana is a big deal

I am going to tell you that a few years ago in Seattle pot could have ruined your chances to get jobs to now it doesn't... That's kind of how the law works...
It's cool that old buddy was injecting roids in his ass but let's not pretend it's legal...
should it be or not is a different discussion..
