By Bungie Go To PostThere's a difference between taking a measured approach to closing down and doing so recklessly. We did exactly what you did last year and got smashed 3-0.
Because pressing against Fellaini is futile
I don't think we were in trouble against you often enough to say it was completely reckless. Early Eriksen chance, the last ten minutes when you went siege mentality... We came out of the blocks last season and it was over in half an hour. Carra was reading too much into it; spent all his analysis on what ifs.

3-5-2 was a step too continental for Tony
Comical how fans of other teams boo Sterling.
I mean listen to that, it's pathetic.
He's a blue. Get that in your head or get fucked.

Love how they are talking about how shitty Navas was last year compared to his year in La Liga before aka the best league in the world

You left huge gaps trying to stay close to every player. It was so clear in the first 20 minutes.
We didn't move the ball quick enough advantage. What Martinez was saying, essentially oh well nothing happened so it was fine is a bit naive.

imagine how great it'd be too see the boy harry kane and sterling track back and defend the 18 yard line.

Gaps that weren't taken advantage of often enough - in the first game of the season - to warrant such comment on it.
A pressing game's inherently risky. In the event it ends up fucking us over, it's worth mentioning at length. I didn't see enough from Tottenham to make us rue our pressing so that you can call it a success (like Martinez did) or a risk (like Carragher did). I think Martinez was naive, and like I said a bit reductionist. But it worked well enough; Schneiderlin was winning balls all over the shop, there were a few close offsides that went our way high up the pitch, and playing that high meant Eriksen came extremely deep to influence things.

So far, I have to say that City is looking and playing better than any of the other tittle aspirants.

Well, against a team that has put 11 men behind the ball at home. Not that they aren't, but there's factors innit.

They're playing against a team who are doing literally the bare minimum to stop them.
West Brom have been dreadful
They were never going to dominate this match, but for a home match with plenty of room to counter into, its shocking.

That's true tho, but still.
By n8 Go To PostTwice now this co-commentator has called Sterling Berahino.
loooool
West Brom is such a nobody. It's a team whose presence is not felt. It's a team you even forget exists. They're kinda like how Granada is for La Liga, a team whose greatest achievement in its entire history was to make Ronaldo score an own goal and win the game.
