KdB? Absolutely. As I said, Wolfsburg are a decent/good side because of him. That's how good he is.
By Vivalabanter Go To Post£47m for De Bruyne. (Guardian reporting Wolfsburg are expected to accept something around that mark).I mean it seems like he had a great season last time round but did City really need spend £100m on their attacking midfield while the CM and CB remains as prone as ever?
No they didn't. But it's City.

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that City have to concentrate on the League One fixtures.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow night's League Cup tie at Rochdale, the City boss told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: "It's the next game and we'll be ready.
"Whatever the outcome we move on. I am not belittling it but we have to concentrate on the next League game and getting points.
"We know Rochdale is a tough fixture and we're looking forward to it.
"We have one or two knocks and the team will reflect that.
"It's always a dilemma telling you who's fit and who's not because I don't want to give too much away to the oppositition.
"Hopefully we have come up with a way of giving Rochdale a game. I'm not trying to be too clever but ideally we'd have players to play every formation. Some days we'll play with three strikers but it's horses for courses."
Looks like Mowbray might be fielding a weakened team to tank the match.

I am thinking of going back for xmas, i haven't been there for xmas in a longtime. And my sister is gonna go travelling so it would be nice for my mum.
Time for me to be hated on by most of these Arsenal fansbeen listening to dre
But people say Coq is good enough to win the league with. the second goal yesterday shows he is not. He goes sliding in when there are two players already in a decent position to recover the ball. Sure a lot then happens, but Cazorla was occuping the space that should have been Coq's and Coq should never have gone to try and win that ball. It is small things like that which separate decent PL players from those who are gonna win you a title and help you contend in Europe.
I still think we lack that little bit of quality in the areas that matter the most, CB, DM, and striker. Cech has us covered in the GK position despite yesterday
And Mert needs to go. There were a few times I saw him in their half and we were a quick counter away from conceding more.

fair point bruv, he could have bought a house up north with his ticket :P
I genuinely think you're mad blaming Coquelin at all for that goal. He won the ball. His - and Cazorla's - positioning does not impact on Oxlade-Chamberlain dribbling out of the box and losing it without putting up a fight, Koscielny rooted to the spot without so much as sticking out a leg, and Cech being far too slow to cover his post. Coquelin is the only player in that entire move to come out with some credit.
Noticed KP has Milner down as young player of the season :lol
And Meier's surprise of the season is some City yoof who'll never get a start all season :lol :lol

you mean he won the ball the ball FROM Ox AND Mert. He went rushing in and started the chain of events while leaving his area.

Why the fuck was he sliding in taking the ball away from Ox and Mert????

There was a point in the game when I actually started thinking shanks was right all this time.
I'm willing to put it down to a bad day at the office, if I see a repeat of this next week I'm going mental.

Well it doesn't look good for Coq.
I know there were many other reasons for the goal. But if Coq was more disciplined and aware he would have not gone into the box and would have been in a better position to close down on the shot.
Just watched it. It's irrelevant, shanks. He gets the ball ahead of both of them. Per isn't moving, Ox is moving towards his own goal. Ox could clear it. He doesn't.
The other three are tens of times more to blame than Coquelin and yet you're making him the scapegoat. It's odd.

I do think your being a little harsh on Coq shanks
There are several runs from the swansea game that Matic did not pick up but that doesnt make him any less of a great player.
The people who should be getting the blame are Ramsey, Ozil and Giroud. Fucking awful from all three of them.

Yes he gets the ball ahead of them, because he goes sliding in. He basically tackles his own player. It is all about awareness, he goes in and creates a situation where there are three arsenal players around the ball and the one west ham player, that means there is a huge space somewhere.
By Kidjr Go To PostI do think your being a little harsh on Coq shanks
The whole situation shows he has not got a head on him that is top quality.
I don't care about developing youth, Wenger tried that route "this time next year we will be champions". Now we needs proven quality that can help us contend.
Because we are not winning the league with Coq. i can tell you tell that.

Stoke getting Shaqiri then. A lot of quality in that attacking midfield; Odemwingie, Bojan, Ireland, Afellay, Arnautovic, Walters...
but they're doing fuck all with that centre mid.

Because these are the same mistakes that have been holding us back for so long. I see nothing that says we are serious contenders.
Maybe you are right.
It is not every week that we will face an Italian beast like Ogbonna.
