By Auto Go To PostLiverpool could finish in the top 4 this time with Benteke, Firmino and Clyne. though if Lovren starts every week then they will be 5th at bestEven if it does all click (which I'm pretty sceptical about given last year) their defence is pretty tragic. Coutinho needs to turn up for more than 6 months too. Sturridge needs to sort his body out as well. If those things happen there's a chance.
Liverpool again are going to be depend on Sturridge being fit.
Its a situation which I think will be interesting for them, as I think if he stays fit and bangs in a ton of goals Liverpool could make top 4 and someone will buy him. If he's injured all year again then Pool won't make top 4.

The problem with Spurs and Liverpool breaking into that top four is that they need to have fantastic years while hoping one of the four above them have terrible ones. 2013/14 Everton were brilliant, Arsenal were average, and they still couldn't breach. Southampton were class last year, genuinely fantastic and still finished seventh. The gap is unfortunately too big.

Its not even just that they need to rely on one of the top 4 being pants all year, its that if they do succeed and break in, it's likely a player or two has had a standout year, and the club can't afford to keep them if some twat comes along with an open chequebook.
Then they face the next season with CL football, a squad with not enough depth to cope with it and missing a player or 2.

FUCKING HELL
Studge is out till like November.
I think we'll be okay with our current line-up. I do think we've got better forwards than Spurs & United. Benteke, Coutinho and Firmino is a pretty good front 3, and we'll have Milner and Henderson (who people may not think as being creative but he got plenty of assists last year) behind them.
We'll score a lot more goals than we did last year but the issue will be the defense as it always is.

By Yenom Snake Go To PostIt's great. Read the first two TPs. Could easily be adapted for TV/film but Vaughan is dead set against that. Not sure all of it would work tbh. The writing is supers and the locations exotic, but some of the stuff is just weird. Sextillon wouldn't fly on TV.

Damn
Speaking of Brian K Vaughan, I think Marvel should adapt Runaways. It would be different from all the other stuff they're doing and the premise would work pretty well as either a TV series or a movie.
Benteke will be brilliant for Liverpool. They wont miss Sturridge as much because of him. They have enough creativity to score a ton of goals. Their defense is a joke though and Brendan is horrendous when it comes to defending organisation but there is not a big gap in their defence and Citys defence and frankly Uniteds defence.

By Vivalabanter Go To PostBlind at CB will be horrible. If it is that horrible, I just hope it's horrible enough that a new CB signing is sanctioned as a result.
We're gonna draw I think.
Van Gaal still doesn't convince me. He has a bit of the Pep Guardiolas about him. Just play the players in their natural positions.

But I still think that Chelsea may drop to 3rd or under (realistically, never under 4th). Almost one month of market left though, so my opinion may change. Not that it matters anyway :p
Has BT Sport Europe launched yet in UK? I think I'm supposed to get it automatically on my cable subscription over here but it hasn't appeared yet.

Not even going to try predicting the top 4. On paper, we should finish about 5th because that's where we rank in terms of player wages. However, I think we do have the ability to over perform under Rodgers and some of the other top teams have shown propensity to under perform.
By Cleff Go To PostSpurs will Spurs it.Our defenders are bound to have a brainfart atleast once a game. No way are gonna keep a cleansheet.

By JTS Go To PostWishful thinking regarding Liverpool… and City.Well, we're definitely signing a left back and almost certainly another centre back. I was hoping for a bit more improvement in midfield/attack but whatever. The team is still very good. Better back up for Cesc and Matic would be good.

By n8 Go To PostJts is a known city sympathiser for some reasonMy reasons are that I love a good establishment shake (if the establishment is not who I support, of course), so that QPR game whispered to my little heart.
Idk why
Also because everyone loves to piss on City from a height. Mango, Meier, DC <3
Liverpool can be in the top 4, i think they're the only team capable of getting into the top 4 from last season's group.
Spurs have no chance, i think.
I believe Tottenham should go ALL IN in the Europa League this season. Take it seriously and you can challenge for dat sweet UCL spot.
