£35m and he is yours
How the shit is Firmino priced at 8.5 pts. in fantasy? He's literally the most expensive mid on the entire team.
Sturridge at 10.5 is laughable.
Benteke at 8.5 is interesting though...

Wow, good goal from Swindon. Well-taken.
I'd say it's probably because his assist and goal numbers were very high last season in the Bundesliga. I think only Kevin de Bruyne had more assists, and Firmino had a nice handful of goals too

Sturridge's price is like insurance just in case he's fit all season after his return
With Firmino they're having to make guesses as he has no PL record to base the price on, and his last 2 seasons at Hoffenheim have vastly different stats for goals and assists. Think its more likely that he'll be a forward than a midfielder anyway

Benteke will have a good season I think. He could score goals in any team, never mind one with Coutinho, Firmino, Henderson etc. in it.
Close by Moreno. Lovely play from Joao Carlos and Kent.

So it's quite simply just a good way to start the season, should put us in good spirits for a first game and I hope we don't make the mistake as the past few seasons. I want maximum points for the first month atleast.
A lot of people looked tired hazard ozil etc. Walcott cannot play up front in these big games. His at his most devastating when he can make those runs coming off the right and giroud holding the ball up and bringing others into play. Without him our play seems very directionless and our passing would have to have been way better for that to work.
Coq is amazing like literally amazing. I love this guy, if only he was a little more physically imposing but I'm really starting to put him up there with the best in the prem. distribution aggression and he's deceptively quick definitely the real deal and I'm glad we haven't signed someone just to take his spot (could do with a back up to him).
Considering we were missing one of the best players in the prem we did ok. I would and still do expect another marquee striker, giroud just misses so many chances he is an awesome back up to have but I think general consensus is he's not not will ever be world class despite his improvement and the Quality he brings to the table. I honestly think a great striker playing for us would probably score 35+ goals a season. Without a striker I still think we can just about challenge however with one I feel we would feared.

I'm impressed by the work rate of Markovic today. He looks like he wants to fight for a place in the team. He's had a few dull moments but for the most part he's looked quick and incisive.
Liverpool have made some decent signings but I really dont see them challenging for the top 4 spots. Their defence could be serviceable with Skrtel and Sakho, but it's nothing special. Its the same story with their midfeld. Henderson and Milner will run forever, but aren't a pairing who'll dominate a game against the better sides. If they're to challenge for the CL spots then it's their attacking line that must excel. Coutinho, Sturridge, Benteke and Firminho is tasty, but none is the transformative player they need to spark a challenge. You'd have to wonder about Sturridge's fitness also.

Vigouroux made MotM by Swindon. He's on trial from Liverpool.
Guess he's going to go on loan there then.

Ayew at Swans and even Depay are good examples.

You'd have to wonder about Sturridge's fitness also.I just want it to be better than last season. Reckon we'll end up 5th and be out of the race for top 4 by mid-April, but we can't have another year like last year. No identity, no reliable gameplan, no grinta. We were just awful to watch. Nervous, timid, incapable of dealing with any pressure at the back or the front, may as well have had no strikers. Mignolet was dogshit for months as well. Couldn't settle on a formation or lineup.
Even if we finish 5th I imagine Rodgers will be sacked, but we could easily get worse than we were last season, so it'd be a small step forward.
