Cech and Benz would be huge additions to Arsenal. I still wouldn't put them at our or Chelsea's level, but far closer. It'd be an interesting battle. The Cech addition itself though is a huge one.

I don't have any confidence in Arsenal's midfield to protect their defense and thus win games by tight margins that might otherwise become a draw. You'd challenge with Benzema, maybe, for part of the year, but you'll fall behind Chelsea and Man United. 3rd place, I'd guess.

Man City also had a better goal difference than you by 10, so allowing 2 more than Arsenal is hardly earth shattering.
Also, Chelsea managed a better goal difference and allowed 6 fewer goals.
Don't be delusional, the gap between Arsenal and Chelsea is a lot greater than you think, and, in terms of defense alone, you aren't much better than 4th place United.

Which presumes that United and City won't improve and you think Cech and Benema will give you 12 points to catch up with Chelsea, with Benzema also being completely new to Premier League football. I don't think its likely, I still think you need someone who can dominate the midfield and close down a game (like Vidal), but its all speculation at this point.
