Its remarkable to say, but even if Miami wins this year, I'd still view their 3-peat as less of an accomplishment than what the Mavericks did in 2011, or the Spurs in 2003.
That's how easy their roads have been.

One of them is an asterisk anyway

This is bullshit.
You play what is in front of you.
Yo JVG is hilarious.
Breen: Jeff, what do you say to your team at halftime?
JVG: We've had a good year. Bring it in.

You're insane man. Winning three in a row (making 4 straight finals) means they are playing until JUNE 4 years in a row. + summer work out and conditioning these guys are literally working 10 months out of the year for four years.

OK?
And whats in front of them has been unremarkable, because they colluded to bring the 3 best players in the conference onto one team, eliminating competition.
Can we have a 30 for 30 on what is going on in that Pacers locker room?i doubt they care, they certainly aren't playing like it. they need to at least play with care.

People need to stop with this because it's clearly BS.
Just comes across as sour grapes.

It's remarkable to say, but even though I'm on this forum and on NeoGAF, this is easily one of the top 3 stupidest posts I've ever read.
That's how stupid that post was.

Is rather see that then the second half.
So assuming the game ends as disgusting as it began, Vogel should be fired.

As if beating the Bucks is a "work out" for these guys. Hell, even their first and second rounds aren't. Look at their schedule on a game by game basis. Its laughable.
They've beaten 3 decent teams. The 2012 Celtics in a 7 game coinflip, a young 2012 Thunder, and the 2013 Spurs, who thoroughly outplayed them despite a crippling Parker injury. The rest of their wins have been fodder, real talk.
Its just not that impressive, comparatively.
I don't know how you don't try to trade Hibbert after his heartless performance this post season
Dude is making 14 million for a couple more years. Who would want that?

I love Jeff so much.
I once heard that Breen frequently shuts off his mic when he's laughing at a rant of JVG's. So sometimes if you hear a silence from Breen after a JVG joke or rant, it's because Breen is cracking the fuck up or is losing his composure.
Fucking Pacers are destroyed though. Biggest team of clown ass goons the NBA has ever seen. The most pitiful 1st seed team I can remember in a loooooong time.

Sorry man. 4 straight finals. And if they three peat, its INCREDIBLY impressive. Not just impressive, but INCREDIBLY impressive and it will cement this squad in NBA history and they will always be mentioned in the future amongst the great teams. Period.
I think you know that, thats why you are talking it down. Time to let it go man.
No one (besides crimsonblur) is saying 4 straight isn't impressive, just that other teams have had much harder runs
Is it incredibly impressive, when anything else would be seen as an incredible failure?
I'm talking specifically about winning this East four times, not the 2 going on a possible 3 chips. Those are praiseworthy.

So no matter what this Finals will be a repeat of one of the previous 2 Finals. Yawn.
The NBA really needs a shakeup in the established order. No one wants to see The South Beach Talents vs. The Acts Like They've Been There Before for the dozenth time.

If it wasn't for Lance this serious would have been fucking abysmal

Meh, no. I think its "impressive" if taken on its own, without reference. Hell, I find it impressive to even be in the NBA, let alone play in an NBA finals.
But we're comparing them to the great teams. And naw, its not like 3 peats of the past. Its not even as impressive as single titles of years before. And if the Spurs win this year, I think it'd be rather clear cut that they've been the best team of the last 3 years, and not the Heat, so Miami's hold over this "era" is rather flimsy as it is.
The first round of this year is going to be the only one people will remember years from now.So no matter what this Finals will be a repeat of one of the previous 2 Finals. Yawn.

Yes it is. Thats what you end up with when you play extremes. If 'anything but' would be incredible failure, then achieving it is incredible success. You can't play extremes on one end, then play it middle of the road on the opposing end.
Its ridiculous IMO to take credit away by grasping at the one thing not in their control (their schedule and opponents). Both conferences at some point have been weak, but rarely does a single team ever reach the finals 4 consecutive seasons and win 2 or more of them. The last time 4 finals in a row happened was in like the 80's IIRC. Its flat out incredible, impressive and if they get the 3rd ring its time to put the hate behind you, because ESPN and NBATV are going to deepthroat that team for the entirety of the summer and even the following season more than likely.
Pierce or KG? How long was the bet for? until the start of the next season?BOSHpm me that avatar
