Does it really matter though? I mean we are going to knock them out on Friday. All it's doing is delaying the inevitable.Nobody asked for this shit.I don't have a problem with the final play at all actually, he kicked it to Bosh for an open corner three to win the game rather than tie. Bosh is clutch at the end usually too.
LeBron pussied out on the final possession too.
Normally in losses, I'm upset with how the Heat played. I don't feel that way at all tonight, we got jobbed with the Lebron fouls and we still took it to em with Paul George dropping 37.
I'm proud of the rest of the team actually.
I don't know why but this one is bugging me a lot. Not cause of how we played though, considering lebron was out most of the game they did great. I guess I was so anticipating this series to be done tonight. This feels like the first loss in nearly a year that actually matters.
I guess it's annoying since we will have less rest time.
No other superstar in the history of the league is in constant foul trouble like Lebron is.You mofo lol.

You never know. All pacers need is one game in Miami to have a chance in their home.
What happened?Reporter asked Wade "Did you ever have someone blow in your ear or would you do that to someone?"
Wade and Lebron laughed, Wade says never and LeBron goes "to my wife, but as a defensive measure".
... I don't know how to interpret that.

Right. Its more annoying than anything. I don't know I am bugged, first time all year.
1) Lebron is a cool dude. More I watch him recently, more I like him. And unlike in the past, I actually respect him because he's honed his game, won championships, started clawing at his potential.
2) Lance played today right. Rather than talk mess to the media to get in Bron's head, he did a bunch of weird ass shit on the court. Sure the 5 fouls weren't his doing, but the horrendous shooting and turnovers were part of it.
3) Damn though, Paul George went off!

I wasn't able to post during the game, but holy fuck this game is definitely the one that pissed me off the most all year. I just want to finish off these sorry ass Pacers once and for all. I don't really hate that many players in the league but Lance Stephenson is shooting up the list. Fuck him.
Also I'm fucking sick of Spo yanking Beasley out so early I like how everybody else fucks up and it's his fault

Missed the game but watching highlights of Lance Stephenson's antics is just fantastic. lol
The guy quite literally gives zero fucks.

Don't necessarily blame Spo for pulling him.

But i mean, the play offs isn't exactly the time to be bringing a guy "into form" either.
i can't even take a side here
fuckball winning out would be the greatest thing to happen to the league in years
but i hate these goddamn pacers more than aids

What I saw was a guy trying to set a great screen but Ray Allen doing some dumb shit drive to the basket thinking he's still 28
A player busting his ass off and vocally communicating on defense while other people fucked their rotations up
Couple of things:
1. Rashard's play was nothing shocking given that he is a 3 point shooter only now and most of his looks were really good looks. He was just in rhythm. Its not like he was breaking ankles, dunking from half court, and breaking backboards.
2. Lance is hilarious. But I am amazed at how much composure Lebron showed because with the frustration of the fouls I am sure he wanted to do nothing more than knock him out.
3. I usually never care about Lebron "deferring" because 9/10 times he makes the right basketball and gets it to the right guy. But that last play he had a much easier layup IMO. Don't think he got scared, if anything he probably had his 5 fouls and possibly getting called for a charge on his mind. I see this too much in the NBA nowadays though. Guys have layups of far easier shots but they swing the ball around for 3s instead.
4. Spo has a real decision to make now. Rashard Lewis has been great, especially on D providing a lot of what Birdman does but with 100% more output on offense. He can't cut his minutes down significantly.
5. While everyone thinks game 6 will be a blowout win, you just never know with these Pacers. This could be the game that gets them going, PG might stay hot, and Miami might walk in thinking "we got this" and just now show up.

Ive lost what respect I had left for Roy Hibbert these playoffs. Dude is a bizarre, mental rollercoaster and I hate him for that because it so obviously impacts his productivity on the court.

i got the feeling that lebron wanted to just end the series then and there which is why he kicked it out to bosh. good look, just didn't go in.
regardless, fuck da heat
regardless, fuck da heat
The idea that people thought LeBron might foul out on an offensive last second drive is hilarious. He could've went Finals Shaq on Dikembe and there wouldn't be a whistle. The thing is the Heat's philosophy is to go for the win instead of a tie (barring a massive defensive breakdown).

Fascinating article by Zach Lowe on Ibaka... and yes, James Harden.

I think he does a nice job breaking down all the factors at play.
After reading it, I'm sure that if OKC had been aware of 1) how quickly the salary cap would rise and 2) how much NBA franchise values would rise, then they probably would have opted to offer Harden the max.
Things seem to have turned out OK for the Thunder regardless, but he's right to say it's one of the 10 most fascinating trades in NBA history.

Yea, I'm tired of the "right basketball play" argument. Bosh shot a contested 3. George Hill was right there. This wasn't a wide open shot like the Steve Kerr or John Paxson ones. And Jordan didn't even pass to Paxson, he passed to Pippen who passed to Horace Grant who was 5 feet away from the rim because his man came to double on him who then passed to Paxson.
That was passing up a Jordan contested drive for a GREAT shot.
What happened here is that Hibbert came to double on the Bron drive, and Hill shaded towards and closed out on Bosh on the kickout as if Indiana knew exactly that Lebron would pass if he saw Hibbert and they had Hill ready to defend the shot.
At best this was passing up a 7 foot fadeaway over PG for a contested 3 by Bosh.
That was a double team passed up for a wide open 15 footer by the best shooter in the league. Anyone calling these two plays identical shows their understanding of basketball doesn't go beyond shoot/pass

I think it's naieve to think that ownership didn't understand the financial trends of its investments and business

Just saying.
Back in 2012, nobody could have possibly predicted that the Milwaukee Bucks would sell for $550 million (without an arena and without any star players) or that the Clippers would sell for possibly $2 billion. The Thunder would probably sell for at least $700 million now, and probably more. And to think that everyone thought Bennett overpaid when he bought the Sonics for $350 million back in 2006.Fascinating article by Zach Lowe on Ibaka… and yes, James Harden.

I think that it's entirely possible that Harden would have still been traded, but I also believe that Presti should have held out longer and gotten more value (even if the return we got doesn't look nearly as bad as it did last year).

The NBA has fined Indiana's Lance Stephenson $10,000 for violating flopping rule in Game 5.

Also, Roy Hibbert fined $5,000 for a Game 5 flop against the Heat.

Away, in foul trouble, and tired of bullshit. Go for the win or close em out in Miami.I think LeBron could have scored that but it also was not a bad move to pass it. Maybe to shard since he was making them a lot.
It's fine that Lebron passed up that shot. But it's also fine that people argue he's not as ruthless as Jordan. You can't be as passive in late game situations, passing up shot attempts for slightly better looks and then get ticked when people say you're not made up the same way as MJ.
What's not fine is equating every single late game Ledefer moment to iconic MJ plays that led to WIDE OPEN shots. It's the same mentality as equating the Heat Big 3 joining in their primes through free agency to form a super team to any other 3 great players that ever played together. Magic/Kareem/Worthy come to mind.
That behavior is just Lebron-apologists pointing to things that are kind of, sort of, somewhat, similar as a way to free him from any and all criticism.

Also Vag there is really no point to the 'right basketball play' debate, I don't think anyone here really brought it up much but I don't know why anybody would.
Most times in that situation LeBron passes. In fact I would say 8/10 times when Hibbert comes off. I don't know why people need to keep picking him apart and comparing to what others did. He is who he is. Not going to change. People gotta give up on that story
Also the way the Lakers 80 big 3 came together was different than Heat big 3. But I think people only bring that up when folks try to counter "LeBron had to join 2 superstars" to try to bring him down, as a way to say that nobody did it alone. Cause we know that nobody was going to Cleveland and that management wasn't going to do anything beyond Larry Hughes, Mo Williams, and a broken Antawn Jamison to help.

cute, any yet kinda insulting to LeBron.

doesn't matter. 6 foul limit with the way the game is called makes it less interesting to watch. add 1 foul or make anything beyond 6 an automatic tech.
LMAOIt doesn't even matter, the entire sports world knows that the Pacers' season ends on Friday.
people are going at LBJ for the pass on that last shot?
Dumb asses.
