There are lots of non-Spurs/Thunder fans who have been complaining about how much of a joke the East is.And there are a lot of fans of good basketball who have been complaining about what a joke the Thunder are. You've actually managed to get fans of all teams to unite behind the motherfucking Heat, and I'm not sure you appreciate what an accomplishment that is. If we sent the Thunder to the middle east they'd probably solve the Israeli Palestinian conflict in a day. Western Conference Basketball.

I WONDER WHO EVERYONE ELSE WAS SAYING THIS TO IN THE SEMIFINALS

This is the NBA-GAF I know and love. I missed the kind of stuff that was on the last page.
We were getting way too gentleman like in here.

Admit it--you would kill to have the current OKC roster representing "your" Jersey-transplanted clownshoes franchise. Prokhorov can buy just about anything except an ECF-caliber squad. There are lots of non-Spurs/Thunder fans who have been complaining about how much of a joke the East is.And there are a lot of fans of good basketball who have been complaining about what a joke the Thunder are. I understand your bitterness though. If I were stuck with a center made of glass, a hobbled and ineffective has-been at point, the Czzzzz year-old decrepit trash, and zero draft picks thru 2042 I'd be mad too.
Your franchise's great hope is a Plumlee brother. Don't take it out on me.
Admit it–you would kill to have the current OKC roster representing "your" Jersey-transplanted clownshoes franchise.
Seattle wants a word.
The year the Heat steamrolled the east is the same year they got sent home by the fucking Mavs, who went through a gauntlet. That shit doesn't matter other than minutes and injuries.
you would think that playing against far superior competition over the course of 82 games and against 50 win teams in the playoffs would battle harden you against a team that's going to its fourth straight finals and has been playing against rusty ass competition for a month now
but we know better
don't we knux
The NBA has been looking for its replacement for Jordan since Kobe, who couldn't humble himself enough to keep Shaq around, who departed to--GUESS WHERE????
MIAMI
And promptly won a Championship. Can You Dig It, etc. etc. etc.
Then Kobe got busted with his and in the cookie jar, had to buy wifey a ring with a rock the size of your elbow, won one more against the Magic (Yes, BIG BABY Dwight's Jameer Nelson-less Magic) in five games. The artist formerly known as Ron Artest, AKA METTA WORLD PEACE has an NBA Championship.
Pause and meditate on that for a second.
Meanwhile, after being swept by the Spurs, James left the Cleveland LeBron's and may very well be on his way to a third championship in a conference that still pines for the glory days of the Pistons, Knicks, Nets, and Celtics.
My wife has already said if LeBron wins another, she's giving up on the NBA. I'll at least hang around long enough for Timmy to retire, but yeah, three-peats are not interesting, especially for a team of players that really are not charismatic. Guess I'm a fan of the blue-collar types, not the Hollywood self-entitled types.
In the very least, I'll have to concede to hockey fans that the race for the Stanley Cup is more compelling.

NHL Stanley Cup Finals is heading for a Kings vs. Rangers epic battle aka Leastcoast vs Bestcoast aka NYC vs LA.
rangers up 3-1 in east.
Kings up 3-1 in the west.
join me my brothers for this once in a lifetime series.
Did I just see an OKC fan mocking another team for moving city? Did I???The other day he posted that what OKC really needs is a good starting two-guard to help their roster out.
Did I just see an OKC fan mocking another team for moving city? Did I???to be fair...
you know what, i got nothing to justify that.
lulz worthy.
Gondo probably still thinks the Harden trade made perfect sense and that Adams and Lamb will become valuable key assets any time now. Annnnny time now...

There are lots of non-Spurs/Thunder fans who have been complaining about how much of a joke the East is.Damn son. You caught more feelings about game 3 than Spurs-Age did.Not as many feelings as you're catching over a series that hasn't happened yet. Or is this leftover salt from your 2012 ass rape?
Hell, even reasonable Miami fans will admit that the East is pathetic and that it gives them an advantage when they get to the Finals.
2012 : OKC rolled through the west; Heat went through a 6 game second round where they were down in the series and a 7 game ECF where they had to survive two elimination games
2013: 7 game ECF while the Spurs swept the first round and WCF
the only two years where Miami rolled through the east were the first year of the big three when we went 12-3 until the finals where we got rocked in 6 and this year year if we finish the Pacers off on Wednesday.
So i don't know how big of an advantage it is.if any.

can't tell me that Spo isn't a good coach.
I love that Spo tries new things...its like...the fuck are you doing playing an 82 game regular season without seeing every reasonable combination your team can field? A lot of coaches get stuck on that shit
Evan Turner is another fun character to watch. He’s the no. 2 pick from the 2010 draft in a contract year who just kind of sits there and observes everything with a weird smile on his face. He even wanted to ditch the team bus after one practice and walk home alone; he asked me how long the walk would be to his hotel.
He said he is not frustrated with his lack of playing time, or worried about his contract. “When it comes to money, pretty much everyone in the NBA is set,” he said. “I just want to get back to playing basketball — to playing in big games and all that fun stuff. I felt like in Philly this season, I was starting to define myself as one of the better wings in the game.”
unprecedented emo
Did I just see an OKC fan mocking another team for moving city? Did I???Fair point, although the Seattle-OKC and New Jersey-Brooklyn situations are completely different.
It was more of a dig at New Jersey, not to mention how they had to build a gleaming new arena, make tons of stupid trades for aging "stars," mortgage their future, and attach a minority owner like Jay-Z to make anyone give a shit about them... and they're still outnumbered at home games by Knicks fans.
2012 : OKC rolled through the west; Heat went through a 6 game second round where they were down in the series and a 7 game ECF where they had to survive two elimination gamesIt's mainly an advantage because to win a title, you have to get to the Finals first. This year has been by far the worst example of it (with an undeniably brutal West and pathetic East), but I'd still say it was easier to win the East than it was to win the West the last couple of seasons. Once you get there, it largely comes down to matchups (as most playoff series tend to).

Also, saying OKC "rolled" through the West in 2012 is overstating it--that backside sweep of the Spurs only came after we got absolutely throttled twice on the road. Things looked bleak there for a while.

be fair.
Lance would be an annoying cunt to have to listen to on a bus.
you did not get 'absolutely throttled' by the Spurs in the first two games, OKC lost by 3 and 9 points in games 1 & 2 in 2012.
I don't understand how it's that much easier to win the east. In 2012 than the west when Miami had to play 13 games between the semis and ECF(while being down in both series) to make the finals while the winner of the west went 12-3.
or in 2013 when the Spurs went 12-2 to make the finals.
Not to mention the Boston teams that played the most playoff games ever to chip.
I'm not seeing an advantage worth mentioning especially since 2007 or so the eastern conference has had the league's best defensive team I think.
edit:
