Breen/JVG/Jackson is the best team in basketball clowns.Knicks are the best team in Basketball Clowns.
I know humor is subjective but I don't get how someone could not find JVG and Jackson's banter hilarious. I don't need insight from the 2nd color guy I just want to be entertained.

Yeah I've had seizures here and there over the course of my life, but I was like 10 minutes away from doing a shoulder work out. If it had happened during that workout, I could have had 30-60 pounds of dumbbells crashing on my head

That's fucking scary dude. I'm glad it didn't come to that, I'd be a little worried doing workouts. How often does it happen?
Sorry to hear about your seizure... My ex girlfriend had epilepsy and she had one while she was driving. I guess thankfully? She didn't get hurt.
In other news, tomorrow is my birthday so the Heat damn well better win.

If the Spurs and Indiana make the finals. TD gets injured after game 1. Never comes back, and the Spurs still win. Does he have 5 championship rings?
To put it another way, how many games of a Finals series does an all time great have to miss before we say, naw, he didn't get that ring?

It's pretty rare. I have them when I'm going through some combo of physical/emotional stress. In this case, lack of sleep due to late night playoffs and super high profile project at work/having additional worked dumped on me because of coworkers vacations led to this one. It's partially my fault because I missed a few doses of my meds here and there this week. When you're taking 2 pills a day every day since you're a teenager, sometimes the amount of meds you take can be miscounted. In any case, I'm thankful I wasn't hurt and I bought one of those little plastic daily reminder containers for meds, so hopefully I won't have any going forward.

Glad to hear the ex wasn't hurt. Was she able to pull over before she had a full blown one?

I'd say yes, because he's been the second best player on the team all year long, and they don't even make the playoffs without him. I'd say the same for a player like Lebron, Wade, Bosh if they played a Thunder team that was missing Ibaka

I knew Iverson was a chucker but looking through his stats, his 01-02 season made me double take and do a search on bball ref.

AI is the only player to ever average 30PPG on less than 40% shooting. fuck wow.

30 points on 27 shots. This is what Westbrook looks like when he's the man on a team. I want to see it just for the lulz. Iverson is lucky he didn't live through the analytics age. "Efficiency, we talking about efficiency?
yeah but look at who he had to play with.
Iverson was a chucker and loved being one but he also didn't have shit to work with for most of his career (partially his own fault but still). I watched damn near all of his career and his % did not tell the full story all the time.

C'mon now, you know I'm going to argue Kobe>Duncan regardless. But it was just something I was thinking of. Like 1980 Kareem gets that ring cuz he only missed like one or two games of a 6 game series. What's the over under?
For players like Adam Morrison who will never matter you can say they got 2 rings. But when you want to debate all time greats, don't they actually have to play in the Finals cuz that ring argument carries so much weight? I don't know the answer, it was an honest question.
My personal opinion. If you miss one or two games, no biggie. If you miss more than half the series but play up to par for the rest. That's fine too. But if you miss most or all the series? that's questionable.

My god this team would have beeen sooooooo stacked if the FO wasn't stupid. The coach wouldn't have even fucking mattered.
I'm glad though.
I've never EVER seen the league part like the Red Sea through sheer dumb luck and stupid decisions to make it easy for one team as it has during this Heat run.
4 postseasons.
3 without Rose Killing the Bulls
2 Without Rondo and 1 with a broken elbow Rondo Killing the Celtics
Amare falling apart the first season and never recovering killing the Knicks
Thunder trading away Harden and missing 1 of their top 3 players in consecutive years
The weakest EC in recent memory
Kobe out for two of the 4 post seasons killing whatever faint chance the Lakers might have had...
Yea I'm bitter

Second in my mind only to Cuban blowing up his team (over the course of two seasons) right after they won a fucking ring. Surreal.

Monday I'm driving across country to move to Southern California, so I'll probably miss the first few conference final games.

Damn, Mark Jackson may have been doing waaaay to much.

I mean, closed practices aren't a new thing. But NEVER allowing them in? You ain't Phil Jackson homie, what coach can get away with that in their 2nd year without causing a shitstorm? I dunno, it could just be people trying to quiet the questions everyone is asking about why GS let him go, but if all this stuff I keep hearing is true, Mark may have had it coming.

In his interview with the “Murph and Mac” show, Barnett said that he supported the coaching change, and revealed that he was never able to attend practice.“I never was able to go to a practice,” he said (transcript via Bay Area Sports Guy). “We were banned from practice that way. We weren’t part of the group. I always felt like it was Mark Jackson against the world. It was us against them and he had that kind of philosophy. And therefore, I don’t know Mark Jackson any better today than I knew him three years ago.”
Those quotes are telling of the culture that Jackson created in Golden State. There is no doubt that he supported and treated his players extremely well, but may have took it too far by creating an “us against the world” mentality. Everyone, including the front office and even team broadcasters, was an enemy, and the only “good guys” were the players.

The heart wants what it wants.
Why would any basketball fan want the Pacers to win? Even if you hate the Heat, at least root for them to lose in the Finals, not against Indiana. So many storylines if the Heat win, LBJ vs KD pt. 2, best player in the league vs. this year's MVP, OKC vs MIA rematch, Spurs redemption from last year, Miami 3-peat and entrance into all-time territory, etc. No one gives a fuck about the Pacers, I wish they'd just disappear into the shadows once and for all. The story if the Pacers win is how a scrubby team fumbled and bumbled its awkward dumpling ass into the Finals and how they're gonna get swept by a polished, historic team.

You could make a good story about a team that got denied twice by the heat and finally got over the hump. Same story the bad boys had or MJ.
But it's true, nobody cares and every other match up would be more intriguing.
that said. i'll still root for Indiana.

I don't want Miami in the finals cause it would lead to will he stay/will he go drama even more.
I don't want OKC to win so KD is more likely to leave that city.
I don't want SA to win because fuck em
so that leaves the unlovable losers in Indy. Them winning it all after sucking major ass for a long time would make for a splendidly weird end to the season.

I expect a lot of whistles, either way. so much it'll be momentum breaking. Just like it was last ECF.

Just been informed the NBA WILL have a centralized replay center for next season's games. So these playoffs last games with on-site review.
