Thunder's problem is that they have no offensive plays and the ones they do have no second option. Durant gets lazy off the ball stretches of games so then Westbrook is left to fend for himself.
Watched that game at BWW. Felt right.
Scott Brooks better be gone, otherwise they don't give a shit about winning championships. What kind of fucking small ball line-up was that? Fucking small ball for the mentally challenged - small means all the smallest players... right?
What the fuck was wrong with Jackson and Adams or HELL, Jacksons and Jeremy Lamb. Holy shit. What a clown coach.

That was a great great play by Leonard, but damn, that was some ugly ass fast break by OKC.
They had 3 on 2 and ended with Westbrook going on two players.
Durant did his patented "I'm going to stand back here where no will pass to me" move on that play too
It's like the movie Twins, Tim Duncan got all the fundamentals, and OKC is Danny DeVito.

Westbrook should demand a trade
Never seen a superstar with such little help from his supporting cast

I'm sure I've posted this before but imagine if they had kept Harden and traded YNB for Chris Paul.

Fucking small ball for the mentally challenged - small means all the smallest players… right?I was talking about that during the game last night. You can't be playing Fisher, Jackson and Westbrook together and expect to be stopping anybody.

Since we were down, some thoughts
-Gondo, Tyler: ya'll know I hate your team but I ain't got nothin but love for ya. Sucks that you had to play the first 2 games without Ibaka. Definitely taints the win; tough break. Good series, happy we made it out alive. The Thunder were the team I was worried about all year.
-That game had me flipping my shit. It was very well-called until the end of the 4th, where they missed a KD hack on Duncan, then a clear goaltend, then Duncan's moving screen on Fisher (make-up call?). The OT was also pretty cleanly called, but you guys should have seen me at the end of the 4th lmao. I thought we were about to choke away another series :(
-Durant was getting exploited defensively all series. Its hard to blame him, because he does so much on the other end and is probably exhausted, but Pop went right at him. Either with Diaw or Kawhi ... and he couldn't guard either of them. Just felt like there was nowhere for Durant to hide, and the Spurs are too stacked at every position to give him any rest.
-Tim Duncan is 38 years old and dumping it into him when the going gets rough is still the best "critical moment" offense we have. Dude's amazing.
-There was a point 2 years ago where I thought Kawhi Leonard's peak was just as a really really really good role player. I firmly believe he can be a superstar now. The way he started this game, and the variety of offensive moves he uses now to go along with his incredible defense (including the game-winning steal on YNB) .. hes still only 22 years old. A few more years in the Pop incubation chamber and we'll have a superstar on our hands, for real.
-Boris Diaw is a basketball genius. I think Kerr said it during the game, but its his versatility (along with Manu's, since he can play the point) that gives us so many options with our lineups. He can guard the post, he is shockingly quick vs perimeter players, and he punishes mismatches on the offensive end. A lot has been made about how much better we've gotten with the addition of Kawhi, Green, and Splitter, but Diaw was a really big piece too.
Well, its the Finals again. I'm already extremely proud of our season, and I'm not one of those bozos who think that no accomplishments outside 1st place matters, but I reaaaaally want this one. I thought I really wanted it last year, but fuck do I want it this time. I can't say I'm happy we're going into it with a gimpy Parker (AGAIN ... and it seems even worse than last year) but, we only have so many opportunities. We're never going to be injury-free battling through the West, so I guess it could be worse. If it was OKC advancing, they'd have a gimpy Reggie Jackson and Ibaka, and Durant twisted his ankle in the 4th. Its the price of not taking the easy road, but I still believe. Corey Joseph baby!

Wow, A reasonable Justin Timberlake, whereas we have Konex defending Justin Bieber in that other place.
I feel more and more like Durant is destined to be just Scottie Pippen again. YNB could be Jordan on another team....

Can I just bring up the fact that Cory Joseph's play in game 4 and 6 was legitimately important to this team winning the series. How nuts is that?
best play of the playoffs so far
All started with Steven Adams not guarding Tim Duncan.
Hey it's just Duncan, let's leave him open and double the opposing SG outside the 3 point line.
Trade totally worth it.

Dat touch passing. On a quasi related note, about 2 months ago, we got the Buffalo Wild Wings in East Lansing to let us do a fund raiser on June 8th. We originally picked that date because the Tigers were playing the Red Sox. As the playoffs kept going on, I was wondering about the possibility of the Spurs playing in the Finals on the day of the fund raiser, and low and behold :) So basically, 20% of my food/drinks bill will go to getting disadvantaged children books. My GF might mind me getting drunk on a Sunday night, but I'll be able to legitimately say "It's for the children honey!"

These are gonna be some good-ass finals. Timmay deserves to go out as a legend.
He didn't even 'leave' Duncan. TD was cutting right towards two guys ready for him - no one expects a 7 footer catching a touch pass and throwing one without taking a second step.
