Dad's of Destiny clan is the second result on that MILF search, I left that browser tab confused and unsatisfied.

Halo 4 with terminals story is on the money for me. Nylund books second and third then Halo 2 next with Silentium following.

I miss gaf. But I like this place a bit better. No drama and no bs mods here. I think a week ban is harsh they should implement a warning and a two day ban before resorting to a week or more ban.

Part of it is just not having all of the old crew here; some went to Beyond, some finally went HGS full time, etc.

The rest is that we just don't have much to talk about. When we get more news (and later, a fully working game) things'll pick up.

Halo 3 is by far one of the worst story wise. While Halo 2 is one of the better ones, it's interesting in that it changed the entire tone of the franchise.

It's certainly a combination of factors but I'd say this is the biggest one. There's nothing compelling to post about. This game has had the least information revealed for it relative to its new features than any other game in the franchise, I think. Think about it. We're just about three months out from release. What were we talking about with Halo 4 three months out from release?

Perks. Sprint. Ordnance. Loadouts. Salt vs Slurp. With Reach people were talking about bloom, armor abilities, forge and the armory getting expanded.

What do we have to talk about after the beta? Warzone? It's BTB heavies with AI. Not that that isn't exciting, but that encapsulates literally the entire conversation. No more needs to be said about it because that's literally all the information we have or need. The same can be said for almost everything new. Musketeer AI companions? They're the AI from Republic Commando. We don't have any videos of them in real action or of the large scale combat that would require four players, so we're left to speculate, but we have almost literally nothing to speculate about.

New enemies? Soldier? Looks boring. Like a Forerunner bot. Nothing new in the Covenant department, as far as I can tell. Done, conversation over.

New vehicles? Forerunner Hornet. Looks like a not-Hornet that shoots orange bullets. Done. Conversation over. Where are the Hornet and the Falcon? Don't worry about it.

New weapons? Plasma caster is a thing. Looks kinda' neat. Done. Conversation over.

Y'see? There's lots of new stuff, but none of it is so compelling or important relative to any of the other megatons that have already dropped in past releases or in earlier cycles of this release (beta) that there's nothing to talk about. Even after E3. How much has the conversation actually changed since just before E3 hit? "Wow, the new AI companions look cool!" "Wow, Warzone looks neat!"

And that's it. If that's all that you can muster from the largest media event of the year for your largest game of the year, that's probably not great. It's pretty eh. I mean, it wasn't bad, but again, relative to everything else we've gotten every other launch cycle, it wasn't noteworthy.

Remember when the MCC got announced? That shit was insane.

Talking about Destiny's story makes me angry at what it could have been. It's so obvious where the problems lie, I really can't fathom how Bungie fucked it up so much.

only if they are bad which they are in 99.9% of all times.

There's a happy medium. Most game stories are shit. But I still want something. Grimoire cards in game, for instance.

Like hell it is. Destiny's story is all over the place, crammed into cutscenes that were (last I checked) still mostly unskippable and loading screen monologues. It's not minimalist. It just sucks. They turned Bill Nighy into the world's most boring expositor.

Also, DAMN at that Gears deal. As someone who only played and LOVED Gears 3 and despised Gears J, this is a fantastic deal.

The dialogue in vanilla Destiny is just downright laughably bad.

House of Wolves story stuff and dialogue isn't bad, Variks is so amazingly over the top its funny/awesome.

The Destiny Lore, as in grimore cards, is pretty great. Its too bad all that amazingness is totally separate from the story they told in vanilla, which is just a disjointed mess.

I guess my.mind is more fixated on mp because I don't want the campaign too exposed before I play. I suppose they may want to show a larger open area to contrast with e3. If they do that i . don't want any context just show the battle and leave the story out

Variks is the best thing they've done with the story so far, as far as in-game lore goes.
