On the plus side, I enjoyed it very much; Sgt Johnson had a British brother with a goofy British accent that tagged along throughout the game and the visions Chief sees turns out it was the Didact's digital remnants manipulating Chief to do something with the Domain or something.

Me for sure. Gears was my jam back in the day. Much shenanigans were had.
Side story about that: I was, I think.... 16 or maybe 15 when the first one came out. There was a girl on my team and my much older cousins were watching me play. When I told them that there was a girl on my team my cousin jokingly asked "Are you gonna ask her out?" and I replied while focusing on the game, "No are you kidding me; she has zero kills." ....spoken like a true nerd. :/
I never finished Gears 1 so I'll pick it up. Shame the PC version is delayed or I would rather get it there.

Probably going to pick up UE first and play Dishonored again later in the year when I'm bored of Gears of War and Halo 5. I haven't seen enough of the game to warrant a purchase though. I have it on PC and it runs great and looks wonderful.
I'm willing to bet Req packs that one of the things Snipedown is referring to in his tweet is a new completely revamped forge complete with terrain, water, day of time, and weather effects. My personal theory of why that hasn't happened is a) they needed to make money off of map packs and b) it became too resource intensive.
They are no-longer charging for map packs and coupled with the NOT NECESSARILY TERRIBLE but not MINDBLOWING graphical fidelity and no split screen, it makes sense to me to change forge to something more akin to its PC-map-creator counterparts.

Agreed. ESL is the route 343 needs to stay on. MLG crawling back to Halo since Halo might be rolling in the prize money would be pretty funny, though.

MLG was the height of comp Halo. It was on national TV. It pulled numbers. I think esl could get there one day. But MLG has done it.

And agreed that the show has a real problem coming up with convincing motivations for conflict as season 2 goes on in general, but the Jiaying thing was especially egregious since we'd literally just that episode wrapped up one conflict-ball-driven plot, only for another to crop up in the most unconvincing fashion. Just finished Sacred Icon in 11 minutes and Quaratine Zone in 9 minutes and neither of the times registered so I have to do it again. Maybe before adding legendary speed running achievements they should have made sure the leaderboards worked right.

I followed season one better, the wholealien thing with Skye/ her father/mother/etc I felt was a bit overdone? Then it seemed like ward was just there, to be there.

I am pleased to say I've never had that particular issue. Nearly got every timed achievement now. H2 Legendary 3 hours awaits, however.
By RedSparrows Go To PostSucks :(I've had this problem the whole time, I had to do Silent Cartographer over a couple times, as well as Truth and Reconciliation. Then for 2, Metropolis took 4 times and now Sacred Icon and Quarantine Zone both failed to register. I'll give it some time, as both the leaderboards and Halo Waypoint are being weird right now. Maybe it'll show up later.
