I just saw this week on xbox video on the xbox youtube, what is this business about the limited version of halo5 being able to be traded for a physical one o.O Is the limited edition REALLY not physical disc copy by default...? Or am i just confusing information.
EDIT: Nvm apparently thats the 200USD+ edition that they want to ship early via not putting a disc in it. Im getting the 2nd stage for the steelbook and that comes with a disc so all is well =P I am still not sure how that collecters version is way up at 200USD+ that is really steep if its just a statue in there >_> I mean Reach had that whole monumment to noble team and that was 150...

Late to the 30v60vRes debate - my take, pick one and make it constant with no tearing. I'm sure we'd all love 1080p and 60fps but if the price of constant 60 is 900 or 1080pr then I am perfectly fine with that.
Jumping back to the bone from PS4, on my setup, the difference between 1080 and 900 isn't particularly noticeable but up and down framerates are - TR Def for example was much nicer for me at a near constant 30 as opposed to 40-60 unlocked on PS4.
All IMO obviously.

I'm hoping they stick together though. I think they could be a very strong team in H5, that game looks like it will suit Ninja and Spartan's play style a lot better.
Has there been any confirmation about Carbine's rate of fire change in MCC? I thought Frankie said pre-launch that the ROF is going to be fixed but it still feels way faster than on 360.

Just imagine if Halo 2 got its fully-realized campaign. I mean granted, Jackal Snipers and Brutes may have been balanced more properly, but Gravemind / High Charity were originally supposed to be one level (ending in a Warthog segment!) and so were Uprising / The Great Journey - except The Great Journey parts would have even more interior segments!

For all the pure horror Halo 2's development was for Bungie, knowing everything about it that's came out in the past 11 years since, the game we got was absolutely brilliant. It's odd (for me at least) what we could have gotten makes me appreciate what we did get all the more.
On that topic too, the H2A remaster was pretty much perfect. The art-style is so well preserved, and every time I replay it I find something new (like the Halo Wars/ODST Easter eggs)
Just the other day I was looking at a needler, went back to classic mode and noticed saber actually made sure the remastered needler has the same golden brown/purple mix of color it has in the original game. Surreal.

By Lord of Admirals Go To PostI've purchased Halo: Fleet Battles. I await Mr. UPS Man now…Don't leave us hanging. Post pics when it arrives.
I swear, the Needler's tech gets more and more inscrutable with every visual / technical upgrade the series has. Back in CE the thing was so bulky and covered up that you could just chalk it up to "oh it's just doing needler stuff on the inside whatever" but now the damn thing's defying at least six laws of thermodynamics.

I assumed the needles tracked enemies because they were propelled and guided by an anti-gravity field.
Now, the Halo Universe article on Waypoint revealed that the fricken needles propel and track targets themselves, without any external mechanism.
"Instead, it fires unconventional crystal shards that display an unnerving ability to propel themselves and track on living organisms."

By Poodlestrike Go To PostSpace magic means Precursors, generally. Some sort of neural physics remnant? That's been my assumption post-Forerunner Trilogy- it was something that was created via reverse engineering Forerunner technology, which was in turn originally inspired by or built off of a basic or novice level of knowledge of neural physics and neural weaponry, whether that was intentional or inadvertent... Not sure.
Perhaps, because of precursor neural physics and space magic, when humans, aka reclaimers, wield them, needlers become much more deadly.

And the Uprising comics should have been in-game levels that lead directly to Halo 3.
Kind of interesting to note that Bungie apparently had most of the encounters for Forerunnership (which would have had the game's warthog trench run inside the ship) planned out, they just "took too long to set up," thus didn't make it in the final game. So, presumably the comics had a lot to work with, and retroactively justify it's exclusion a little bit, considering you had shit like Chief doing backflips in Ghosts over Forerunner hanging gardens one-shotting Covenant, taking on six Hunters at once, etc.
Going to be streaming some H4 campaign here in a minute if anyone is bored. Starting from the beginning and going to try and beat the whole thing.

I'll post them below.
Valiant-class Super Heavy Cruiser
DSC-class Support Vessel & SDV-class Heavy Corvette
Epoch-class Heavy Carrier & Halberd-class Destroyer
In addition, we've also got the Trafalgar Supercarrier for the UNSC and CAS-class Assault Carrier for the Covenant on the way too.
Still no CSO?

By Poodlestrike Go To PostStill no CSO?Ha. That'd probably cost like $1500 considering it'd be over a meter long. Don't even get me started on the Mantle's Approach.

I also love that in order for the UNSC to have close to a similar amount of ships to the Covenant, they've needed to bring out the super and heavy vessels. If you think about it, really the only threatening part of the Covenant fleet is the ORS and two CCS's.
I've also looked at some of the stats for the ships, and the Covenant ships are only allowed to use Plasma Torpedoes if they're in a battlegroup. They've done a good job at making the Covenant uber-powerful.
Is the Epoch class supposed to be an Infinity-like vessel?

The Infinity is actually planning to get added to the game.
Jeeze. People are going nuts on this game with how much they're spending. One guy wants to re-create the Battle of Earth. He's only 10 frigates away from creating Admiral Harper's fleet. Now he just needs a few more CCS's and two Assault Carriers when those arrive.

I personally do not think this game will have a high tournament base as FFG X-Wing game has, but I hope the game will be profitable for Spartan Games and they will release some neat expansions for only campaign player like me.
