Oh cool, that I-Beam swing answer basically covered a question I was going to ask about having multiple sub-sections of Grouped objects welded together operating under different scripts (such as the doors of an elevator operating independently of the elevator moving up and down).
Tangentially regarding that swing monster they created: can mancannons be set to Normal physics and have their properties / force adjusted to be welded to other items, acting as propulsion?

I could be wrong, but I've been picturing pre-H5G Forge as Windows Explorer of sorts in that it's mainly to immigrate and navigate objects, whereas H5G-era Forge is closer to Illustrator in that you're meshing, producing and interacting with large varieties of potential assets which can be alchemized in a number of ways. I would assume that you could weld them in that state, just as you could have two shapes in Illustrator overlap and then Unite them using the Pathfinding tool.

While it isn't a PC editor I'm still extremely excited. So many awesome features. We can script stuff to move around... so we can pretty much make Terminal's train, Longshore's extending bridge. Scripting is exciting.

By Lord of Admirals Go To PostHoly. Shit.Phased, then Welded is possible. You only require welding if the object is intended to be set to normal physics. You can see a goof up in the video (0:51) when someone tried to rotate a group of "Normal Physics" objects which was not yet welded.

Do the canvases you worked with have invisible walls / "rubber band barriers" at their boundaries by default, or are there only kill-zones beyond the bounds of the map? If there are invisible walls by default, can you delete them in favor of just having the death barriers?

Wind will determine, for example, the direction of FX objects like smoke and fog.

Hey Nokyard, can you explain the decals a bit more? For example, changing colors of the decals as well as re sizing, skewing, etc.

I just thought of a gametype that I'll call Jerkball where an Oddball spawns attached to one of JERKBOT 9000's many "hands." These hands are connected to its main body by wires and are propelled by mancannons, and its hands are some type of heavy object like a crate, meaning it's a vortex of battery at any given time. Also, scripting is in place so that if you enter a proximity volume relative to JERKBOT 9000, it'll mobilize and pivot around the map on its legs like a tripod, meaning you have to hope you're lucky enough to catch it as it's running around playing keepaway.
Stay tuned for Jerkball 2: Jerk Harder, where there are two JERKBOT 9000s and they're playing monkey-in-the-middle with you. While slapping you to death with their thousands of tentacled wire-crate hands.

So, unfortunately my plans to 4p legendary coop w/ clique and crew has fallen apart due to my silly new work schedule D:
Have to work that day, BUT, I am looking for 3 more people to do Legendary 4 player coop campaign on launch day (afternoon)!
Details:
1) Must be an above average Halo player
2) No talking during cutscenes, or skipping them (obv)
3) Will be doing the entire coop campaign in 4 player legendary coop from start to finish (with breaks)
Time: October 27th at 4:30PM EST. I have the 28th off, so we can pull an all nighter to beat the game.
Let me know if any of you cool cats are interested! This game definitely seems like it will benefit from playing w/ a group of 4 the first time through like it was meant to be.

Move them adjacent to a structural object and they kind of snap to it. They even snap to rounded pieces. It's exactly as i had imagined it when we added it to a wish list years ago.

I love it, but Deck 16 is still my favourite UT map. It was just better to play a proper match on. Facing Worlds needs some more paths/options to attack/defend.
