I am almost convinced there's going to be a warthog run sequence, The Trials would just be underutilized if that isn't the case that whole driving melody is just *shudders* so good. I'm about to listen to the other sample tracks (other than Halo Canticles which I've already heard before) and I just friggin knew that the 20 minute samples were in no way indicative of the OST's overall quality because wow talk about an understatement in those 30 seconds previously released.

Fahz, I appreciate you and zoab's additional compositional insight about these tracks and while I don't know the mechanics of how music is made I could absolutely discuss soundtracks like these for days but I think you're causing an inflammatory response just by how you're wording things. It's probably not your intention as evidenced when you were called out:

"The stuff I have heard thus far just sounds like the boring drivel that I can easily come up with in my own head."

Because you responded that you weren't trying to claim you could make something better but rather that it didn't sound very structured and there was no identifiable melodies (which I disagree, I found the new tracks and especially Locke's theme to be very outstanding and hummable but to each their own). You probably don't care what people think about what you post but if you feel like engaging the community again but want to avoid drama I'd suggest avoid phrases like: "It literally sounds like someone is smashing rock riffs that ascend and descend over scales over and over and doesn't know when to quit." Because that'll naturally get people up in arms when to them it sounds like a complex arrangement that hits all the right chords.
