Yeah they aren't really great from an immersion standpoint, since there's nothing about the delivery that sells it. I agree with you there.

Sometimes you gotta wash balls to get where you want, I guess. I agree though, I prefer the gameplay part over anything else the channel has to offer, it just happened that way I guess. At least he doesn't talk through most of his videos.

I do most of the work you see on your screen on Youtube, but Gringo writes articles, Wahrer has fantastically designed the best fucking looking Halo fansite on the web, and Ian, Ghazi, and Steven all chip in more than enough, either verbally or financially.
Believe it or not, running this fucking fan site costs us time AND money, and I don't do it to make any, I do it because I'm passionate about the community first, and the game second. I enjoy making content, but I don't slrp from the 343 koolaid, I have my arguments about them. Did you know we recorded an episode of Reclaimer Radio recently and decided not to release it because we figured that the 50-200 people that will listen to it wouldn't like it? Because we weren't happy with it's quality. We put a ton of time and work, and yes, even money into this thing and I cannot fucking stand it when we're pulled into a conversation that we don't fucking belong in. We haven't posted anything in this thread about our stuff lately other than, "Oh, I'm gonna do a video about this" or something along those lines. I don't come in here and only promote our shit or opinions. I actively engage in discussion and respectfully partake in those debates.
Bottomline, don't call us out for shit that we're not doing. If the News Flashes bother you that much, don't watch them. Sorry to have misinformed you.

I *think* it's the one that comes with the limited edition console bundle. I have to double-check on the MCC achievement unlocks from beta. I'm not sure if those are available through REQs or if you have to complete the achievements first.

I've been to several press events (even a few Halo ones) and majority of them aren't very good. One thing I've learnt is that press don't play many games outside the required amount (for reviews, hands on etc.), hell even some Youtubers I know, they get famous for one or two games, then that's all they play because they got to make daily/weekly content.
My buddy MoreConsole, he started off as a Halo channel, got bored with Halo 4, Destiny was announced so he started covering that, now he is known for Destiny and since it came out, he hasn't touched another game since (except for Halo 5 during the beta and press events he has been flown off to).
Sort of sucks for me because we used to trash the enemy team in games like Titanfall, but now the only time I see him is if he needs someone for the Raid, or to help with a strike.
TL;DR: Covering games professionally leads to less time to play games.

I understand they don't get to play any particular game for an extended period of time, but often it's the sheer lack of hand-eye coordination in general that astounds me.
Not to mention, certain genres (like FPS) have something of a shared skillset among all games where at least the basics are similar enough that you shouldn't look like you just sat on the controller and moved your ass cheeks around. I'm simply making an assumption that the person has played an FPS in the past. Is that too much to ask for if they're supposed to be giving informed opinions?

Yup that's what gets me. A lot of FPS games have the same basic gameplay yet you regularly see these people ignore radars, not reload, or actually push on someone they have on the ropes.

People say the originals had "unmatched classical simplicity" up until they can't run, get perma-locked into a game over once they run out of trainers and money to get into the safari zone and dragon and ghost types aren't worth shit until gen II
