Hmm, that latest Live Action trailer was incredible but it also made me realize something.
The Bruce Greenwood voice over said that Chief was responsible for awakening the Guardians gg chief you woke another ancient evil but I think as a result of the geas he was implanted with the Librarian, he had a vision of something worse to come.
Something so deadly that this massive Forerunner destructive force had to be activated, could he be preparing for the return of the Flood? If Civil War erupts then that'd be the Third Vector of Chaos and give cause for the Flood to get all up in humanity's grill.

I hate leaks as well, however I don't agree transparency is the solution. A developer owes nothing to the community during it's development. Coding and designing ebbs and flows and is extremely dynamic. Valve learned this when they showed early Left 4 Dead 2 footage. Fans freaked out about the smallest things that weren't even necessarily going to make the final cut. This is why I'm not very upset about the lack of Forge news. A developer is looking out for their best interests and they have to be careful to not divulge information that might not be true in the final product.
Social media and communication with developers is not a right, but a privilege.

No problem man, I enjoy your vids. I think you are right about transparency in regards to quieting a lot of internet rage when it emerges, however I don't think that it's possible to be transparent in a satisfying way most of the time due to the nature of development. As long as there is the internet, there will be leaks and I honestly think that the best way for a developer to handle it in almost all situations is to say, "This is an early build with unfinished assets and features that may or may not make the final cut for launch. Leaks break our NDA, which is unacceptable. Please stay tuned when official information is released. Thank you."
I think the whole "involve the community" trend in game development nowadays is a bad idea for most developers. A developer should have the creative liberty to do what they want with their IP as they see fit without worrying about what outside fans think. Fans are often very arrogant, ignorant, and self absorbed. They don't see the big picture in developing a game. If a painter constantly had someone breathing down their neck and criticizing their every brush stroke it would affect the original vision of the painting.

I predict Battlefront will be broken and impossible to get into until late October 11/October 12. As a result, they might extend it.

For some reason I have mixed feelings about Battlefront, I want it to work from the get go, but I have a feeling it won't.
Star Wars being such a major branch may lead to extra pressure on the devs to not fuck it up, so hopefully they won't. Then again, the same could of been said for Halo: MCC.

I don't have particularly fond memories of Battlefront. I get the feeling that on paper you think it's going to be amazing (I am a big Star Wars fan), but in reality it never quite clicked. Hope this one does, although the footage I have seen is a little discouraging.
