I'm loving all this discussion about forging maps, old and new. Can you imagine broadcasting a Forging session where you are creating a custom map to order on Twitch, and getting feedback on the fly about the aesthetics as you create the space? What about Forging a map as a tutorial and people can ask question on how to use Forge, or to clarify or repeat steps for them? Also, a deluxe version of Forge that has a price tag? I would pay it, because:

1) If there is a Forge version in Halo 5 that requires a further purchase, then forgers are special, because not everyone wants to do what we do, or would want to pay for this. It's a product I want.

2) If it costs money, it's a service that has to be given priority and support...I pay you for the service, you have to keep it up to snuff. This means that the quality should be high and Forge a priority for support from 343.

EDIT: Nillapuddin, you made that Coag remake for Halo Reach, with the best versions of the two bases? Fist bump! Wonder Twin Forge powers activate!

He has to be tried before they send him to the gulag. It's mostly a formality, but we're not savages, c'mon now.

Especially in the case of Halo 5 Guardians for these remakes, functionality will have to overtake accurate geometry with the consideration of places the player can now reach with their butt rockets. Maybe even add on some of those extra features to capitalize on the abilities i.e. Fathom's half open door to slide under and the 'batman' platforms to clamber onto. Considering Pegasus and Orion were on the same map yet had different environments, I really do hope some sort of snowy biome can be forged in because that'd just provide some wonderful contrasts and seal the authenticity of any Lockout remakes.


And people say the Halo 4 Jackals were ugly... O_o

These guys are fuckin cool. Still look avian but have a more predatory vibe. Love them as a cousin to the Jackal.

They did not have jetpacks no lol

Skirmishers were especially mobile and would leap waaaaaay high. The Jackals having jetpacks is likely another addition to accommodate the more vertical gameplay. Grunts were given little jump packs in Halo 4 as well.

As far as the Halo 4 Jackals are concerned I really wouldn't mind them much if we had the original Jackals fighting alongside them, but I've kinda given up on that ever happening.

i always felt like the headshot hitbox on skirmishers was misplaced and i had to aim a bit high if i wanted a headshot which always threw me off. maybe it was just the bloom....

I don't like manic panic. but any hair color that is just over the top color (no developer) bleeds for a long time. there's not much you can do. I have black pillow cases, and use dark colored towels to keep from staining.

Same reason people.wear different types of clothes, get tattoos, piercings, etc. I would imagine. It's just having a look you would like to go for and doing it. Might think it looks cool.
