I find it surprising when people bring up diversity issues in regards to Halo though. It's had one of the most diverse casts in video games and the black guy didn't die first holy shit amirite hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaabut really rip in peace.
Tokenism is stupid but adding NEW characters that are diverse is most definitely not that.
Some of those are actually pretty cool this time around. I'm glad to see not all of them are stupidly edgy in the most literal sense.
Yeah, they're a lot better looking. I really enjoy Jumpmaster right now.
On the topic of diversity, I really don't care because in the end I just see if the characters presented to me are well-written, regardless of ethnicity. You can have all the diversity you want but if you can't back them up with good writing then it's a shitshow.
I feel like a lot of these helmets look way better once you see them three-dimensionally in full color and detail than they do in these tiny black and white artifacted images. I wrote off a bunch of helmets as ugly before I saw them in-game and once I did see them, I realized that they do look pretty decent. The Anubis helmet is a good example.
I still don't get why people are so irked by that line. In and of itself it's not even religious—sometimes before you go risk your life, the people ask for a few inspiring lines, you know.
As for Osiris, I'm mostly just sad we lost Thorne in the process. While I'm always wary of avoiding the "it's a tiny universe!" syndrome reusing established characters generally strikes me as having a greater impact. As is Tanaka hasn't done much for me one way or another in Escalation thus far, and Vale and Locke both had less than stellar introductory media.
Wondering if the original intent was for Palmer to be the leader of Osiris back before "oh god I hate this woman" backlash, or if H5G's story had even evolved to that point before Locke was conceived.

Also there doesn't seem to be a difference between both Mark VI Gen helmets. I would have loved it if the GEN 1 helmet resembled the Halo 3 Mark VI a lot closer. I don't like the new top, it looks goofy to me.

the binary rifle is waaaay nerfed. its like a sentinel beam sniper. not sure why you'd want that instead of the sniper/beam rifle, hope its warzone cost is less than those two otherwise why bother?
warzone looks good, but this map especially seems to have a lot of on foot running. could get really old trying to run back where the action is only to have some try hard perched in a cave with a sniper collecting easy kills.

The pro of the Binary rifle seems to be you can get a 1-hit kill even if it's not a head shot., on the condition you expense the whole beam on your opponent. So it's a better option if you're not very good with a sniper rifle and can't lay down headshots.

Let's not forget there are SIX Warzone maps at launch. We've only seen direct feed gameplay of two at this point. Still four Warzone maps that we have yet to see be played. In fact, I don't think we'll get to see them played until very close to launch or at launch when we play on them ourselves.
Warden Eternal is the Raid on Apex 7 specific Warzone boss. I'm sure the other maps will have bosses of their own.
