How about that Halo?

You can still empathize with them now. Money/scholarships aren't going to solve the alienation that incurs when you're still the minority in the room. With something like computer science the numbers of women have gone down because of the harassment and general gross attitudes that prevail.

Any idea if we'll get proper walk-throughs of the maps? Always love seeing the intricacy of each play space and familiarizing with the layouts prior to launch.

Also, today I learned Steve Downes is in Chicago and I've listened to his radio station multiple times on occassion when I was living in Chicago.

To be fair, I edited that post a couple times to try and make it read like I do still empathize with them. The topic is so touchy that it's hard to put out words without being offensive. It was a post out of frustration.

If that trailer is set two years after Spartan Ops / Sangheilios stuff, then chances are it's ONI's ultimate response to Chief very definitely finally going AWOL. It makes sense that they'd wait for everything to actually be resolved before they carried that out.

Not gonna happen. He's the Reclaimer. His fate lies within some pretty dire circumstances... Not saying he'll be killed off or anything (anything is possible however), but through him and through Cortana there's a lot of things in motion- things that I can't see allowing him to just go lead a normal life in the end.

At least one Spartan has got to die at the end of this right? No way all 8 are surviving.

I think there's a whole lot more to Locke than we've been allowed to know just yet. I'm stoked to play as Team Osiris. The dynamic between them looks really fun, and in contrast to the more somber and intricate interactions of Blue Team. It seems like it'll be a good balance between the two.

Nah mate, you got it all wrong. Chief is gonna get transposed into an AI and becomes Locke's "Cortana". In Halo 6 you play as Locke and you hear John telling you about your objectives.

The game will end with a QTE and crescendo with John touching Locke's nipple while saying in a weak whimpering voice, "I have waited a long time to do this."

I don't like the randomness of 12 on 12 with all these AI things running about, dudes spawning with rockets or tanks or shield regens, people just running all over the place to random bases or fighting AI or just shooting each other. BTB wasn't as serious as the traditional 4v4, but it still worked on the same rules. There were a certain amount of power weapons the map to keep track of, there were only two tanks at the most, and with the size of the player counts and the maps made it more focused. Plus, they always had one objective everybody went after. There were two flags, go get them. We got a bomb, lets plant it. There are 3 territories on the map, they're not housed inside a bunch of bases where people can pick-up their Ultra Shotguns and Banshees, try to cap 2 out of 3 of those. Even the Slayer variants had more order, once again due to the size of the map, limited power weapons/vehicles, and player count.

This is gonna be alright for the casuals fresh off of Witcher 3 who think Halo is like…warthogs and shit flying everywhere and random "fun" just exploding from every corner, but personally…meh. If anything can happen and you can go do anything, then nothing matters and its just a bunch of random bullshit you don't get invested in.

Get me a release date on traditional BTB, lyterboy/stinkles.

There's no way The Arbiter doesn't die in this game. 343/Halo/Bungie/Video Game writers in general (as of now) don't know how to do emotional beats without killing someone off.

Master Chief will get digitized by the librarian and reunited with Cortana at the end of the series. Therefore, he's not technically dead and the cliched "cortana becomes a real boy" doesn't happen.

Buck will also die by the end of this game to the dismay of millions of Nathan Fillion fanboys/fangirls everywhere.

My truly off the wall theory:

A halo ring will fire off killing the Guardians but also killing billions/trillions of life forms in the process. OR the whole Cortana visions thing is just the Didact messing with Chief and tricking Chief to do his bidding because he's "weak" and "emotions got the better of him" and he does it, and regrets it and billions/trillions of people are composed via a Composer/Halo hybrid setting us up for a comeback story.

Master Chief will inevitably die in some form of self-sacrifice.

It's very easy to see this as a marketing thing. It's very conveniently post after the commercial.

the moment i heard about warzone i was nothing but disappointed. it just looks like h4 to me. i was really hoping they would see the glorious light that is odst firefight. (odst firefight with reach customization options. need)
i appreciate arena but all the maps seem very small especially with sprint and all the movement abilities. we need those mid-large arena maps/btb imo.
