I'm not particularly concerned about that, just because it appears that there's a fairly low REQ point ceiling. So it doesn't seem likely someone can hoard their points, spawn a tank, and immediately after getting blown up just spawn in another one.

In some ways it seems like Warzone will be less of a cluster than last-stage Invasion with its power weapon loadouts.

I WILL SAY THIS ABOUT WARZONE, losing your weapons albeit balanced is kinda depressing. WAIT WAIT WAIT. Do I have warzone req all wrong? Can you literally use a card once and it's gone forever, or can you only use it once in a match, and then next match you're good. I'm assuming the first but yeah.

If it's the former, legendary+ weapons should come with 3 copies of the same weapon.

Warzone can't provide that experience. I'm really looking forward to Warzone though.

I'll be honest, Arena is my bread and butter. But I do think Warzone is going to wonderfully good fun with friends, and certainly a lot less serious.

I love how you say p2w-esque. I don't think you're fully aware of how Warzone wroks. Say you buy a premium pack and you get all legendary tanks (or whatever they have). You still have to wait for level 6 (or whatever) req level unlocks. It's not like you spawn at the beginning with it. Your team could be down 400 points by then. What you should be think is "I'm paying money for a CHANCE at getting skins". The weapons and vehicles you get from the packs are pretty common. Everyone gets and abundance of them and you earn a pack basically every game.

See i think people are way too quick to write Warzone off. I think without a doubt it's going to surprise the hell out of folks. If you look at what they're doing and Josh's blog post they make it clear that you can play it entirely without spending a dime. I think you combine that with the way it plays and I think you're going to find a lot of people end up enjoying the hell out of it.

First episode of HtT was excellent. I hope they can keep up this level of quality. I'm hooked. I think the longer episodes help alot.

I'm not worried about the REQ system. Looks perfectly fair to me. And honestly, we're all going to be playing so much that we'll have an abundance of cards.

The only things I'm worried about are the AI in campaign and Halo 4 style Steitzer coming back.

Unless there's some crazy shit we haven't seen yet, the REQ system/Warzone will NOT BE pay to win. This is not Hearthstone, where you can pay money to get card packs containing cards with strictly better stats/effects than other cards.

This is Halo. A first-person shooter. A skilled BR user can easily outplay a dude with a fancy REQ rocket launcher if he keeps his distance, uses his thruster effectively, and lands his shots. And you know what that BR user can do after he kills him? He can go TAKE his rocket launcher because he dropped it on the ground when he died.

Play to win, yo.

This is gonna be soooo goooooood. Off to an even better start than last season, really, probably because they don't have to cover familiar (ish) ground.

I like the flag idea, though honestly I hope all obj gametypes are at least "allowed" to play with Breakout...

I used to watch Shootmania competitive matches, and their capture point game was pretty cool. I'd like to be able to recreate it, but I'd assume I'd need KOTH to be compatible with Breakout.

I've always wanted a "Freeze-Tag" mode, something like from Quake Live. If you die you get "frozen", and you need a teammate to "unfreeze" you. If your entire team is frozen the match is over.

Just based on the nature of Halo, it kind of can't be. Even with a mythic, chances are other people's level 7+ REQs are nearly instant KOs too. Plus, once you use a REQ, since your energy depletes to 0, you can't use another high level REQ for a bit. It seems well balanced to avoid P2W inherently in theory.

I just hope they tweaked the REQ system well enough that for people that can't play 2+ hours a day still get a steady stream of new stuff.

Crimson you made some nice points. Still don't agree with the principle of it as I feel forcing people to do things instead of just letting them come to it naturally creates resentment, but regardless, as long as BTB actually gets released it's whatevs I guess. Still don't like games so commonly being not feature complete though.

The problem with everyone missing BTB Is the fact is that a majority of people only enjoy playing BTB slayer. And that's what that playlist is gonna be after "we have seen that a majority of players prefer to play BTB slayer so we have now weighted BTB slayer appropriately". I guarantee that a month after launch BTB will have the least amount of players compared to Arena and Warzone. Just like how everyone made a big deal about no Team Objective and that playlist only lasted a month.

What im getting at is that casual players don't care about the BTB experience itself, they just care about "huge battles", easy access to power weapons, and driving vehicles around and warzone caters to that need and more. It WOULD be a waste of resources that could be spent somewhere else before launch for the amount of players that will play BTB in the end. I still think they should just section off areas of Warzone for BTB... And give us more arena maps >:)

Does the MP embargo lift at 3 am EST tomorrow, like the campaign stuff did?
