Quoting is a hassle on my terrible phone, but in regards to noob combo: I hope plasma pistol only tracks in aim down sights but it's near but not quite Halo 2 tracking. That'd be a good balance to the noob combo in my opinion.

Halo 3 EVA looks like a wrecking the best thing about being in a statement.

The gameplay was gorgeous but who did they get to play? I mean they showed us all that needs to be shown, but I feel like they could have made things a little more intense/varied. I mean it wasn't gamespot fathom multiplayer bad, but I wanted to see more crazy jumping around balls to the wall mayhem. That's how I play the campaign anyway.

It really sucks how obscenely big updates are this generation. 99.9% sure it's to do with the encrypted containers games are stored in; makes it a lot harder to just add what you need. DRM screws over the average purchasing consumer yet again...

Mk VI as it appears in Halo 2 Anniversary has to be my favorite armor rendition. Lots of detail without being overdone or busy, not too bulky. I was never a fan of most of the armies introduced in H3 because they felt like they were either too over the top (Hayabusa), too generic, or just not Halo (EOD looks more Helghast than Halo).

One of these days when I finally just say screw it and drop a few grand on an entry level 3D printer I'll do a print of that armor. I've been meaning to do it for a while - done some prop/costume building stuff in the past and have had plans forever. I've sketched out some ways to add about a foot total to the boots and helmet and then padding and mass to the suit. Seven feet tall wouldn't even be full size, but it would definitely give it more effect.

I'm sure my girlfriend will be thrilled with the project...

H2A Chief with H3 proportions would probably take the cake for me.

My ODST helmet from Halo 3. The biggest shoulder pads from Halo Reach, along with Kat's arm. The soldier chest piece from Halo 4. What ever makes my butt look cute. Color changes at random.

Edit: can't wait for Backwards Compatibility for Reach because I have the Bungie blue flaming helmet :)

I'm kinda hoping REQ packs include Buck's pistol from the campaign footage. I think it look better than the default pistol.

Definitely will be in a req pack. If it doesn't show up in a req pack I will buy Destiny before I buy Halo 5. Weird bet to make, but that's how sure I am.

And it looks similar to the CE pistol so maybe. I wonder if Buck gets to carry the CE pistol throughout the campaign if it is. But the CE pistol will show up in some shape or form since they were hinting at it in The Sprint.

I spent 2 hours last night trying to explain the concept of objectivity vs subjectivity.

Holy FUCK, the mental gymnastics some people will go through in the attempt to 'prove' they are objectively correct about something is fucking baffling.

Which variant did you all like/hate the most?

I preferred the AI of Halo 2's Flood, but the design and mutation of Halo 3's. The Needler type Flood can piss off though. Especially on legendary.

I always liked the armour pop which brutes had but I thought it would be really cool if it detached in a modular fashion. So if you shot a brute ok the torso enough, his chest piece would pop off leaving his chest exposed.

I thought you could have different results depending on where you hit. If you shot the shoulder piece off and hit them in the arm they would drop their weapon and go berserk. Their helmets could be really strong from the front but if you got a headshot from behind the helmet would immediately pop off.

Stuff like that.

And obviously armour wouldn't regenerate.

That does sound pretty cool. Jack up the toughness of the armor (relative to Elite's shields) and it sounds pretty great.

I imagine it'll be more than 10 missions. I feel like this story is too ambitious to be contained in such a small amount of time. We now know that you play at least two missions as Locke before he is even on Sunaion. We'll see I suppose!

Benji playing Halo 5 (beta) at CIA on triple screen in Mission Impossible Rogue Nation is pretty cool and cringeworthy at the same time. Also the box art in there was old.
