The only resemblance to Samus is the helmet if you ask me. I would wholeheartedly agree if Vale had huge orb-shaped shoulder pads.
OT: 117 from the Halo 4 soundtrack is an amazing song. I am so glad that Jinnouchi is composing the majority of Halo 5's soundtrack, what we have heard from him so far has been incredible.

Buck lookin' goooooooood. You know he's been showing off his bright blue balls.
I thought you were being facetious dude... I mean I get it. Opinions and all but... what?
Forge has been a very well loved and (in my opinion) integral feature since its inception. It not only opened the door for buttloads of new types of content but it also improved others. Countless custom maps and adjustments to existing ones were made possible, machinima, forge art, and being able to mess with the sandbox of the game... there's just so much it did for Halo. I'd say it's just as relevant as the campaign is and its effect on multiplayer certainly further emphasizes its importance. I understand not really having interest in it. But one of the great things about Halo has always been how much variety there is. It's like a 7 course dinner of a game with something for everyone. And Forge is a part of that meal with a big community behind it.
Saying it isn't vastly important for the retail version is like saying that the multiplayer, theater, or campaign aren't a vastly important thing needed for the retail version.
By Ragnarok Flames Go To PostWhy the hell shouldn't it be on the disc? What is up with people being okay that shit is not on the disc. This wouldn't fly in any other generation but this gen.I just don't get it. I remember a time when sequels were supposed to add content and release as a package. This DLC bullshit is insane! I understand when you have an already complete game then sure. Add new ideas down the line and more content that's cool. But at least ship the damn game as a full package ffs.
By NobleGundam Go To PostYes because your mockery of my post makes any sense at all. Look at which has a wider spectrum of ppl using one feature/or mode versus another and it makes sense. Investing so much time and budget on upping Forge takes away from other more relevant things like perfecting the single player experience or the multiplayer experience. Although Forge is an excellent tool for editing and creating new maps and modes along with the Mod community to do what Devs don't bother to do (Halo 4).. it isn't a vastly important thing needed for retail version. But hey just complain about my post and mock instead of considering the facts.

People who say Forge isn't important don't recognize the community behind Forge, the subset of players who play Halo just to make and play custom maps and gametypes, and the effect its tools have on the longevity of each Halo game. Halo without Forge would be like any other shooter, where the only maps you play are the base ones included in the game and then you wait months for map packs just for an injection of a couple fresh ones. Forge keeps fresh content coming at a constant tick and without it, popular fanmade gamemodes like Grifball simply wouldn't exist.

A lot of which were built with a specific gametype in mind. Sooooo many fun party game types have spawned from it. I really hope that 343 invested in it and gave it the attention it deserves. The community really needs to be able to effectively share content again.

We can only hope 343's massive hesitation to show Forge in any capacity until this close to release is indicative of how much work they've put into it. Frank did say that Halo 5's version of Forge would be significant in difference to the previous versions, as opposed to iterative like Halo 4's was.
If Forge didn't exist, Reach's population would have tanked after 6 months, and Halo 4 would've died out completely instead of being on the lifeline after the first map pack release. Even if it wasn't being used to make maps, it is being used to rapidly modify existing maps into a better* state.

Really hoping Halo 5 is the IGN First for September. IGN did a series of videos back before Halo 4 came out where they flew around every MP map with the designers talking about them and I would love to see that again for Halo 5.
While we wait... Time for some tasty brew. Tastes like graham crackers and vanilla, with a lingering pumpkin shadow. Mmmm.

That game is just so damn smooth.
I have high hopes for Titanfall 2. There's a ton of potential there.

Lingering Pumpkin Shadow was the name of my all-ginger emo band in middle school.
Can we please burn the industry down after Halo 5 releases, the MACROtransaction revelation for MGSV has me ready to riot....
Halo...
Halo...
I'm glad I don't give two feces about Metal Gear Solid because if I did, I would be really displeased by those FOB prices.
Konami sucks.
Konami sucks.
I stopped giving a damn about Konami ever since they cancelled Silent Hills. That game was gonna be fantastic.
might just get into paintball or airsoft since there i can shoot stuff, get exercise and not be nickle and dimed by two faced pubs.

I would wholeheartedly agree if Vale had huge orb-shaped shoulder pads.I would definitely say that the rest of the suit has its similarities as well. Especially the chestpiece. Give the armor a new paintjob and some different shoulders and it would almost pass for Samus herself.
Not to mention that they gave Vale the Plasma Pistol, the closest analogue to Samus' charge beam in Halo. She's basically Halo's version of Samus, and I love it. I'm just waiting to find out that Jul killed her parents or something like that.

Well believe it or not, most people start with hair and then lose it
Mad Max reviews are out. IGN 8.4?! But it was reviewed by some IGN broski named Brandin who I've never heard of. My rule of thumb that I totally didn't just make up is that if the reviewers' parents spelled the reviewer's name wrong at birth, you shouldn't trust that reviewer.

I could care less about having Forge.
If MP mode is perfected and Dev maps are good (and are abundant) including quality playlists, Forge wouldn't be much relevant in comparison. It just add a sandbox and tools for freedom and variety of content. Reach lacked a lot in terms of MP quality/content. Forge helped solve that issue. Along with Halo 4. But if devs focused more on polishing MP and other (more relative) issues, Forge wouldn't need much investing on in quantity (b'cuz fans are always wanting more which takes time from other projects needed) and instead give a quality Forge tools to work with an already solid sandbox, devs maps, pieces, and settings for gametypes.
Catering to a community like Griffball was an error rather than focusing on polishing the core design of Halo 4. Which in fact backfired for 343.
As an example.

I am having a hard time understanding what you're trying to say here.
By Potato Go To PostWhy are you filled with so much hate?I can't get past the Tashi ceiling.
You're talking about design decisions, Noble. Reach having AA's and Halo 4 having perks had nothing to do with Forge's existence. Those were design decisions, not something they ran out of time or resources with. Infinity settings at Halo 4 launch was a design decision; it had nothing to do with Forge, for example.
If Halo 4 didn't ship with Forge, it would have still been Halo 4. Same with Reach, same with Halo 3. The only difference might be some of the launch issues, like Halo 4's fileshare not functioning at launch.

Why would I be okay with the 10PM Checkspectation surprise just being 5 minutes of Buck Fillion looking around with a smug expression?
You know what?
I really wish games had more scenes where the characters actually laugh. Like imagine Fireteam Osiris is all geared up and they drop off outside a big Scarab fight, and they run around the corner and they see the Scarab just collapses and explodes out of nowhere, and they all start laughing uncontrollably because of the ridiculousness of the situation.
Laughter is an underutilized form of expression in videogames.
