That's an impressive amount of detail in such a large space. Generating art for these games must cost a fortune.

I wonder what the H5 budget is. It's gotta be pretty ridiculous haha
Holy shit, I've seen that screenshot before but I didn't realize the scale of it compared to a banshee... wow.
By db Go To PostSucks when the end product is still mediocre though.
You seem like a pleasant person haha :p
By db Go To Post/shrugYou must not like most games coming out today.
I'm not playing video games to just stare off into paintings.

You should take some time to admire the art during a playthrough, though.

By J-Twelve Go To PostYou should take some time to admire the art during a playthrough, though.I actually prefer looking at scores of concept art over digital renderings.

"In Capture the Flag, players will now be able to use the following Spartan Abilities while holding the flag – Clamber, Ground Pound and Thrust. Holmes said that when a player attempts a Ground Pound with the flag, they will perform a unique spearing animation that will be pretty rewarding if the player manages to land a kill with it."
Duuuuude.

By db Go To PostWhy do you say that. Now that powerful machines and easy to use imaging and 3D modeling software is widely available to the public even indie games have an increased emphasis on making games visually presentable.

So how good is Halo 5's multiplayer? Turns out it's preeeeetty good.

By db Go To PostNot being able to join on-going customs, man, that's all people did back in halo days, especially if it was one of those crazy customs with warthogs and flying down corridors trying to avoid shit.
Yep. I like to Forge and host custom games. It totally broke the way I enjoyed playing Halo 2, 3 -even that 4 creature. Back when Halo 3 came out on the then new 360, I was out of a job. I played a hell of a lot of Halo 2 while job hunting.
When I finally landed a good job, I celebrated by getting a 360 and Halo 3. I gave my OG xbox and Halo 2 to my little niece (bad ass girl gamer just like mommy and daddy).
Before I started my job, I threw a going away party on Halo 2. I set up M2AF invite a few days early and planned my custom game "All-day sucker". It was FFA all heavies, fiesta-style on Coagulation. No time limit, no cap on the points, max 16 players. Opened the game as early as possible, and as long as one or two players were in the game, it would run indefinitely. People and their freinds were in and out, gettin inv requests, screaming and yelling, congrating me on my new job, and having a blast. When I had to go, I had everyone gather at the rocket launcher mid field to send me out with all 16 grenades dropped at the same time. IT WAS AMAZING!!
I wanted to re-create that game, that nostalgia, that community fun to say welcome back on coag in Halo 2 in the MCC. Thanks for breaking a woman's gamer heart Microsoft :'(
It's always been kind of shit how multiplayer gets run on consoles/console gaming. I grew up on FPSes on PC and you know getting into actual established rooms with names and passwords. I remember back in Halo 2 when in order to even have a room you'd have people joining in a certain order or someone would get booted, lol.

Well, significant time and money is being put into video games today to make them visually stunning or artistically beautiful.

What's the verdict on milk here? Do you prefer classic white milk, soy milk, chocolate milk... abominations disguised as milk?

Then reply to my post about the PDP Karka Afterglow headset in blue for the xbone: was it a wise purchase on my part or not?

Cool. I paid 60 + tax on it. It connects to the controller with a cable in the headset slot, but the controller itself is wireless. It also plays the game sounds into the headphones which is a surprisingly nice feature. I had no idea all the amazing music and ambient sounds and NPC chatter was so cool in Destiny.
Conversely, since the MCC also lacks the ability to turn down the music independent of your xbox party, shitballs maaan...Back on topic. Halo.

They should add cats to Halo. Why don't I stumble upon strays in the streets of Mombasa? Literally unplayable.
By -Ryn Go To PostArm chair game design is the corestest most part of the Halo community thoThere's a bit of a difference between saying they think X is good because It personally works for me and game design. It's certainly true the two cross paths occasionally.
The key thing is that just because you personally don't like something =/= bad game design.
Anyway, I bring Halo news:
