Mr. Ragnarock, the difference between the AR and the Bullshot is with the AR, you have to keep your crosshair on someone for the entire duration you're shooting them in order to get the kill (which means if they run around a corner, you won't get the kill). The new Boltshot's bullets, assuming you are aiming at your target when you shoot them, will automatically home in on the enemy once they're fired even if you move your crosshair.

The pistol is going to be the go to weapon for skilled players in the majority of situations and the AR will occasionally used for CQC. Lesser skilled players will tend to stick with the AR as it's easier to use.
Having the AR as a starting weapon was never really a problem when paired with a competent precision weapon. The problem with the AR was making it the only starting weapon or pairing it with the miserable failure that was H3's pistol.
AR + pistol works fine in CE and AR + BR works fine in H4's Legendary slayer.
Also as Poodle says, the AR isn't complete and utter shite now.

I'm happy Ace finally decided to leave Flamesword. He was being held back so much on that team. Maniac looks likely to quit(he said in a recent Blops 3 beta video that he is very sad that Blops 3 isn't the game he is competing in), and I wouldn't be surprised if Flamesword retires at this point. I hope Assault finds another team, but I don't think he is really into Halo right now anyway.

I am a fan of Flamesword... at least I was in Halo 3 through Halo 4 events. I was a huge Status Quo fan all through Halo 3 and Reach. I just hear they all were not very dedicated to practicing. I think Ace stayed for so long because of the perks of being on Optic and because he was teaming with two really good friends (FS and Assault.) Ace has finally broken free and is hopefully super dedicated.
