I think I'm here for the most part. I've gotten tired of the narrative on GAF and the strange moderation that's started over the past few weeks. Shame too. When I started lurking HaloGAF and gaming side in 2009, the place had higher standards.

Anyway, on moderation, it's pretty clear that the first guy committed the cardinal sin of accusing GAF of being biased, whereas the second guy just fanboied all over himself, which isn't actually against the ToS. I wish they'd crack down on that sort of thing, but it is what it is. I still enjoy posting there by and large, just... not so much on Gamingside, is all.

I've been thinking about this for a while, are there any games other than Halo which are equally known for their multiplayer and campaign?
Halo obviously has a very rich universe with an excellent series of campaigns and it also is the multiplayer powerhouse of Xbox.
It has absolutely nailed both aspects. I can't think of any other games which have managed that.

Yea I don't think many will go back. I still post on GAF some but for the most part I read anymore. Everything just turns into everyone shitting on each other and telling each other how much they suck. I've just gotten tired of the negativity I think.

Honestly I've only really played Gears 1. I'm definitely considering picking up the remake though, getting the rest of the games on backwards compatability would be awesome.

I assume these aren't the final playlists but if they are an indicator of anything that may make it to release, I will say this.
We do not need a playlist called "Team Tactical" that contains Breakout and SWAT, and then a dedicated "Breakout" playlist and dedicated "SWAT" playlist. That's a sickening amount of overlap when every playlist should offer something at least partially fresh or unique from the others.
Breakout definitely needs a dedicated playlist at launch. No question about that. I love the idea of the Weekend Social playlist, encourages community interaction and it could potentially keep those Call of Duty fanboys who previously left Halo 4 in the dust for Black Ops 2 to keep coming back to Halo 5 to see what the new Weekend Social gametypes are. Quite the idealistic theory but hey, I can see that happening. Whatever gets people to not start dropping Halo 5 after a couple weeks.
I don't think we've heard about what Strongholds is yet but I'd be interested to see it. Perhaps at PAX Prime (along with Forge I hope).
Strongholds is like domination. 3 points on the map that you have to take control of. I think you need 2+ areas under control to score points if I remember correctly.
