Listened to new Big Sean, liked some tracks but overall pretty weak( which was expected).

:( Not really what I want from Ye.
This morning, Kanye West stopped by Power 105.1's Breakfast Club for an extensive interview. In addition to addressing his Grammy stage-storming (an incident West said was largely rooted in class issues), he blessed listeners with a few details regarding his highly anticipated Yeezus follow-up. According to West, the album is 80% finished, and will comprise "bars, songs, [and] cookout music that just feels good". He explained, "My last album was a protest to music, I was like 'I'm gonna take my ball and go home'…This album is embracing the music, joy. Being of service to the people. I just hope people like it and enjoy it."

Late to the party but I don't mind the Drake mixtape. I don't like it as much as NWTS, but it's honestly just more Drake being Drake.
It's interesting that If You're Reading This It's Too Late apparently counts towards his album count for on his contract. I figure he wants to get out quick because of Lil Wayne's problems with the label and all that.
I'm hyped for Views from the 6 but honestly, I'm waiting on the Kendrick Lamar album the most -- The Blacker The Berry left me wanting more.

Y'all not about to sit her and slander Childish Gambino. I. WILL. NOT. ALLOW. IT. WITHOUT. A. RESPONSE.
I'm on my Revolver Ocelot shit right now so we're going to discuss this. Childish Gambino is speaking that contemporary young black male experience. He speaking for the 11-23 year olds going dealing with the ramifications of their upbringing and reality of living in today's society. He doesn't speak for me but he speaks for some of y'all. He's J. Cole with less struggle bars, financial aid debt, sitcom money, and more hipster avant garde white groupies. There's nothing wrong with white groupies at all but I'm just saying that's his reality. Childish Gambino isn't on that Charlemagne NuBlackness which is a godsend but there's something there.

Above all else Gambino makes some super terrible music. At least J Cole can drop a good track every now and then.....Gambino tho....nope.

It's funny because I pretty much like at least one song from almost every artist no matter how bad they are... from Skee-Lo to Bushwick Bill... From Iggy to Chief Keef.... But I have never liked a single song by Gambino and ICP (that's exclusive company there)
I mean... I'm not sure what I expected from the guy but I came into it with an open mind.
Either way, I always have my old dipset albums to fall back on when hiphoptimes get hard
