Fucking a. I don't know who designed this site, but this thing is goddamn sexy. It's like a breath of fresh air after coming from NeoGAF/Reddit

that mix goes hard to me
Vince Staples - "Summertime '06" is out tomorrow but obviously is already leaked.
....it's pretty good so far, really liking it.

Any more impressions of that Vince Staples? Hearing good things but it's way down my list at the moment.
He's more R'n'B but god damn I'm disappointed in the new Miguel

By D'Moris Russell Go To PostKendrick just dropped video the year by the way
until either meek & drake drop a video for RICO or game & aubrey w/ 100 comes and kills it.
you know the mainstream goes rabid for drake
By D'Moris Russell Go To PostMeek Mill impressions? Its meek mill.
Which is pretty ok. Definitely a summertime hype album. Infinitely better than Big Sean.
Great beats. Highlight is Jump out the Face and Drake's verse on RICO like omzz said.
Drake has been on fire since 0 to 100 dropped actually.
Completely bodied The Game's new song too.
Anyways, Summertime '06 is very nice.
And that Kendrick video is amazing. That intro verse was great. Hope theres a full version eventually.
Statik Selektah - "Lucky 7" is streaming on iTunes and Spotify

HELL YEEEE
• Pick a coast to rep - West
• Favorite Artist - All time? Ice Cube. Now? Kendrick, even if I thought To Pimp a Butterfly is mediocre, and Danny Brown.
• Best feature killer - Past 5 years probably Freddie Gibbs or Meyhem Lauren.
• Favorite producer - Alchemist when it comes to recently. All time there's too much to name.
• Favorite album - Illmatic and The Chronic
• What's in your playlist right now? - Days With Dr. Yen Lo

Whoa ace is here too? I somehow forgot about your awesome mixes, but just downloaded a couple.
Good stuff as always mate.
I have no idea who Vince Staples is, but it looks like I need to check out that Summertime album.

Summertime 06 is awesome. Instantly shot in my top five this year.
Statik Selektah's album is great but I feel after What Goes Around it's hard to follow up with. Nice to hear Droog on bigger stuff now.

Gave it a listen. It's a solid project, the production value was the biggest flaw, expected for a project like this, but I'll probably return to Mothership in the future.
Tell your people to keep at it, it's better than a good amount of stuff I gave a spin to this year.

Yay! Will relay this back to them, they'll love the feedback.
Paid in Full should have been my boys Heroes For Hire: Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Marvel missed a trick.
I'd totally frame that Iron Man one on my wall too.

I'm going through an early 90s Oakland rap phase. I can't get over how good "93 Til Infinity" is. Souls of Mischief, Pharcyde, Del, The Coup, the whole Hieroglyphics crew... Incredible. Kendrick is the closest thing we have to that spirit.

Earlier this month, Action Bronson appeared on ESPN's "SportsNation", where he was asked about the frequent comparisons he gets to Ghostface Killah. After one of the hosts commented on their vocal similarities, Bronson replied, "He's not rapping like this no more." Today, Ghostface released a response to the perceived diss—a video in which he calls out Bronson by name, alternating between noted calm and intense anger. "Who gives you the right to even mention my name out your motherfucking mouth?" he said. "Boy, you done made a mistake." Watch the video—which features some very graphic language—below.video

Bronson did fuck up because Ghost had been really really calm about the whole situation up to now. I expect a "Shark N____as 2015" track any day now
I dip in and out of hip-hop. Unlike some other genres, I don't really know much about the consensus about stuff, and really aren't au fait with the history of the genre.
That said, here is what I have been listening to recently:
Doomtree - All Hands
Toki Wright & Big Cats - Pangaea (I really, really like the production on this. Big Cats gives it such a superb atmosphere)
El-P - I'll Sleep When You're Dead
I tend to like quite laidback hiphop - I loved Sixtoo when he was around, for instance. I also really like Shad, especially his first and most recent albums.
