Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. was awarded the WBO welterweight title when he defeated Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao on May 2, but it was announced Friday that the 38-year-old megastar will be stripped of the championship due to a lack of compliance.
According to Ryan O'Hara of ThaBoxingVoice.com, Mayweather declined to pay the $200,000 sanctioning fee for the title by the deadline. No. Mayweather gives no fucks about belts. There are videos on youtube where he explains why he doesn't even want belts. pbf is the biggest act in Boxing, having a belt means nothing to him. All that belt means to him is a fee he has to pay the WBO to keep it
