Michael Sam doing a reality show with Oprah now?

This is disappointing
This seems like a step back.
Michael Sam’s reality show is not on air yet, but the reviews have been bad so far.I really admired how Collins handled his whole situation and went out of his way to prove that gays can play without being a distraction. He never called attention to himself, he never fed the media even when they tried to start shit, and he just focused on being a good teammate and part of the locker room.
Sam is attempting to become the first openly gay player to play in the NFL. He was recently a seventh-round pick by the St. Louis Rams. Sam repeated his desire to be known as a football player, not his sexual orientation, after he was selected.
However, Sam contradicted himself by agreeing to let OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network, produce a multi-part documentary series on his life. According to a press release, the cameras "will follow Sam as he works to earn his spot on the St. Louis Rams all while under the intense scrutiny of being the first openly gay player in the NFL."
This seems like a step back.
he's all about the football tho.
can't blame him tbh. may as well cash out while you can. he isn't gonna have a long career.

Indefinitely postponed. Rams and the NFL didn't know about it beforehand and apparently weren't happy.
"After today's meeting with the Rams, we felt it is best to postpone the project," Weiss said. "This will allow for Michael to have total focus on football, and will ensure no distractions to his teammates. Everybody involved remains committed to this project and understands its historical importance as well as its positive message."That agent was a dumbass to sign this deal in the first place.
OWN announced on Wednesday that it acquired the rights to follow Sam, the first openly gay player to be drafted by an NFL team. Sources told ESPN.com that the network's plan was to follow Sam's personal life as he tried to make the Rams, dividing the content into six to eight segments.
The Rams, who picked Sam in the seventh round Saturday, and the NFL said they were unaware of the project prior to its announcement.
"We learned of this in the days after the draft," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said.
