Hibbert gonna catch a max contract with all the opportunities he's gonna have to go straight up next year

Porzingis gets pushed around on both ends but at least he tries on D and to get to the rim on offense. That's gonna get worse before it gets better once he plays against real competition but his effort really is only missing the muscle to back it up. Kinda bummed Fish isn't allowing him to show off his jumper much.

Zingis has bricked quite a few jumpers
I know we wanna call this guy a PF but no way he'll ever have the mobility to guard that position, especially against face-up 4s and with this league being all about that small ball life going forward
he needs to add on as much muscle mass as he possibly can and just hope it's good enough for him not to get eaten alive by 5s

7'3" Zingis with too much mass takes away his mobility and basically makes him what the league is going away from tho. Guess you gotta find the right balance
By Dark PhaZe Go To Posthe's not that much less mobile than WCSZingis is substantially less mobile than WCS. His recovery speed and coast to coast defensive ability has already popped up in SL.
so whatcha tryin to say

Guess you gotta find the right balanceat least 20 more pounds, needs to get himself into a Tyson Chandler type of mold where he'll still be able protect the rim but not get eaten alive in the post
unless he legit gives you Dirk level of offensive production, he will not survive as a 4 in this league moving forward

McAdoo and Looney have been destroying Zingis off the dribble and they're pretty terrible at ball handling and penetrating
That's not what I'm seeing. He's pretty mobile for a 7'3 guy.
His biggest issue is getting bodied by point guards and getting so few rebounds a game. I haven't checked but I wouldn't be surprised if Russell is averaging more boards than Zingis.
Maybe that's just strength thing, but Bargnani is substantially more filled out and still doesn't board. Once Zingis fills out and gets 8-11 boards a game, I'll put that worry to bed

His mobility isn't the issue, it's really good for his size but his driving ability and post D suffers cause he can't stand his ground.
His rebounding is a concern tho, bad technique I think, part of his 'not a natural ball player' knock, not great at anticipating and hasn't really fought for position off of bricks or maybe he just can't -shrug-. But he does box out and he takes another big man out of the rebounding picture usually (whereas Bargs just ball watched), but at 7'3" you'd hope he would get you some boards.
Zingis is averaging 3 rebounds a game, which would put him at 135th amongst all SummerLeaguers, 37th amongst summerleague Centers and 17th amongst sumerleague point guards.
I'm behind like a quarter in the Knicks game, Zingis missed some easy open looks and just tried to force a post up+turn around jumper after he couldn't get deeper into the paint.
Lou Amundson is like that Blonde surfer kid in Remember the Titans

Kristaps just got away with like 7 steps after getting that steal.
I guess you're allowed to do that when you're 7'3" and running a one-man fast break.

Superstar calls and no calls in the making.

I'll give it to the Zinger though, he's really impressed me with his effort in boxing out for rebounds.
Just the fact that he seems to actually give a fuck on the defensive end of the floor means there's an above average chance that he becomes something more than just height, wingspan, and PUHTENSHUL

Mudiay>Russell is an example of when athleticism and jump out da gym ability is better than actual developed polished skills. It's rare, but when it happens it makes everyone look dumb (me included).
So let's see 4 years from now if the SL is a real indication.
So let's see 4 years from now if the SL is a real indication.
Mudiay's TO problem is just as bad as Russell's, and he doesn't go for stupid complex passes like Russ. He has a quicker first step but a way worse jumpshot. He's ahead of Russ based on SL performance but marginally so.
Im kinda out of the loop since the first weekend
So I see from this page that Booker had a nice performance, how are my other Wildcats doing?
Are you NBA guys happy with the UK draft picks?

It is a huge margin. Russell can't even get by SL dudes. Shooting horrible and stuggling a bit on defense.
By nillapuddin Go To PostIm kinda out of the loop since the first weekendI think WCS is doing great and its a damn shame he's forced to play in Sacramento right now. KAT is gonna be a beast. Not sure about Andrew in PHX, but Aaron in Charlotte seems to have secured a spot with the team/affiliate for at least the whole year. Not sure what's going on with Lyles. He may still get traded from what I read.

Russell has not been struggling on D at all, he has played better than expected in that area actually. He's shooting poorly but it's not his form or shot selection, whereas it's both for Mudiay and both are turning it over too much.
Like I said, Mudiay is only marginally outperforming Russell so far. He's more athletic and doesn't try to go for homerun passes, other than that they both need lots of work.
Russell needs to stop sipping his own koolaid really. He should be fine if he stops pretending to be that guy Jerry West referred to.

Nice, this seems good
The three Phoenix Wildcats combined for 50 points in the Suns’ second round playoff win over Milwaukee in Las Vegas today.
Devin Booker scored 19 points on 7-for-13 shooting from the field, including 3-for-5 from outside, followed by Archie Goodwin with 18 points and Josh Harrellson with 13 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Phoenix and Sacramento are so lucky to draft our guys, huge BBN sales and tons of new fans
So now I start wondering, what does our BBN reach look like across the league so...

I think Brent Berry was dead-on in his assessment of Russell, all his turnovers were because he is making his passes a half second late, he hasn't adjusted to the pace of the game and the rotation speed of NBA defenses. Berry said something along the lines of 'he keeps scanning for those pass opportunities instead of just playing, when he recognizes his teammate and the pass opportunity, it's too late but he tries to force the pass anyway'

Running the princeton with almost all rookies is truly stupid, just spam PnR and tell the wings to slash, it's summerleague clowns.
