By knux-future Go To PostYou know the guy listed as the steal of the draft during the draft…never really turns out to be the steal of the draft. It's probably because there's a reason that all the other teams passed on a guy who had previously been highly regarded. There's usually a red flag to which the media may not be privy.

I also want to throw in if an injury causes a player from either team that's a major cog misses more than 35 games the bets off.
I told you guys Kirk is a scrub. Y'all were ready to anoint him after 1 Summa League game, jeez.

I don't really know about that. Kawhi Leonard fell from 6th to 15th and that wasn't because of anything. Granger fell from 6th to 17th because of nothing. Noel fell from 1st to 6th because reasons. Drummond fell from top 4 to 9th (because he's a dumbass who couldn't play basketball back then, but still). Knight fell from 3rd/4th to 8th (and he's OK), Rubio from 2nd to 5th... There are definitely guys who fell right before the draft (Jerryd Bayless went from 4th projected to 11th drafted), but outside of the catastrophe drop guys who dropped due to having some horrible injury and disease, I don't know if this theory is true.
By knux-future Go To PostThis is all getting Jah used to all the Ls he and his team will catch this year.
Okafor is going to be a beast too. Idk if his defense is so bad it requires him to be next to Noel to operate as a Center
By Zeus Ex Machina Go To PostOkafor is going to be a beast too. Idk if his defense is so bad it requires him to be next to Noel to operate as a CenterHis defense ,while not great..or good, is still better than I expected. He has switched out on guards and done well..shows me he can at least be serviceable on that end. He needs to get in much better shape tho..he gets winded a lot. He will get reps no matter what.

I'm explaining why it seems that "steals" often end up as busts. Noel fell from first to sixth because he was hurt, didn't he?

I gave up Smart being an offensive threat a long time ago. He shooting mechanics are terrible.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostYou will, from the start of the playoffs until the beginning of the playoffs the following year, provide at minimum a paragraph long ( minimum 4 sentences) positive commentary on something that John Wall did that is factual. If he's terrible for a large chunk of time you will not mention this but give the same positive treatment to another wizards player instead.u don fucked up DY
You will provide a paragraph like this at minimum twice per month. During the off season, paragraphs will consist of snippets of amazing John Wall performances from the regular season. A montage, a particular discussion of a great game already played, etc.
Oh. And you will wear an avatar of my choosing during this time frame that may be changed by my hands at any point. Agreed?
I wouldn't at all be mad at you for going home and being a family man for the duration of the '16-'17 season
with that said, Phaze, you are one RUTHLESS motherfucker
By DY_nasty Go To PostIn return, instead of choosing a particular Hornets player for the duration of the agreed upon time frame, you will highlight a different player after each two week period. You will also follow Jeremy Lin on twitter and provide no fewer than two updates from Jeremy Lin's twiter to SLAENT.com each month. For every month that you fail to perform those duties, your avatar will remain locked for an additional month past the start of the playoffs. This is also magnificent sadly it has no chance of happening

you not yet having a Twitter account makes it that much easier because Linsanity will be the only person you'd be following so you'd get the privilege of not missing ONE SINGLE TWEET

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostI also want to throw in if an injury causes a player from either team that's a major cog misses more than 35 games the bets off.For this, you're allowed to pick TWO players as your injury exception. Should either of those players go down for any reason, the bet can be considered cancelled. Those two guys have to be named prior to the start of the season.
Those two players missing more than 44 games combined OR if one of those players misses more than a third of the season (28 games). Extra lenient because of your reliance on Wall, sound good?

he didn't bet. and the line was honestly at 164/165 when I made the post. dropped it to 163 1/2 just to cover potential lag time.
but yea, would have been a hell of way to lose--half a point, that's the betting game.
I got paid though. I stay winning Dipro. I stay winning.
Lakers Dallas is a game I'm eyeing tonight on Bovada. It SHOULD take fuckery on absurd levels for LA to drop that game unless Clarkson is sitting.
we got guys literally breaking down scouting footage and watching summer league games, we got guys writing dissertations on the value of advanced analytics

Alexander has looked raw but been efficient. I'd prefer him over Bargnani, but as things stand we won't be able to keep both him and Boatright unless someone else gets cut.
Oh dear. Sounds like Moreland SL team nickname is E-Mo.
I want to call Stainbrook The Taxi Driver or The Podcast Drop.

WCS offensive moves are the biggest surprise for me with regards to the Kings. He needs to finish plays. Sometimes he watches a play end after a shot is taken rather than playing to the ball. I like Dukan's shot. Julyan Stone is a 26 year old summer league player and looks like it.

we'll see if that translates to the regular season
his bball IQ, ability to distribute the ball, and not doing too much is damn refreshing to see after having to watch Jason Thompson fuck up many a possession for 7 years
one thing that bothers me is his hands... he hasn't seemed to be able to catch any lob passes cleanly to throw it down on an alley-oop without looking like the ball was gonna come out... and it did several times
