By Zabojnik Go To PostIt's pretty simple, really. We get some money coming our way right now, which will help with balancing the books in this spending happy summer, while we remain in full control of the player's destiny. 18M€ is a perfectly fair price for someone like Berardi. Marry's done good. We as fans may disagree with the 'tactical' implications of this deal, since Berardi stays put for one more season, but from a business standpoint, it's prety good for us.
It's EXACTLY the same type of deal we made with Sassuolo for Zaza last summer. Worked out fine (regardless of what you may think of Zaza as a player). There was no mention of a buyback clause in the official statement of Zaza's transfer to Sassuolo last year either.
Berardi is coming to Juve in 2016. Amen.
Yeah I guess its easy to forget is that the €18m is for his entire contract, which is actually a discount on the €15m we were expected to pay this year for just half of him. Thanks for the clarification, makes good sense.
But yeah actually I'm quite happy with this. We'll be fine in terms of our strike force without worrying that Berardi isn't getting enough playing time.
Now lets see what happens with Coman.
By dark_prinny Go To PostI don't eat Mexican dead people. I LOVE mexican food. One of my favourites restaurants in Madrid is actually a Mexican restaurant. ( Mexican not that tex-mex shit ).

Thought he was great vs Arsenal
By Zabojnik Go To PostYurt, Fade, Shanksu … Antonio Corsa's article about the whole Berardi business should be up on Juventibus shortly. Probably worth reading, if you have any doubts left. Well, regardless, really.I have a feeling that you both share the same opinion on him :p

I love Shanks. I just like seeing his rampant nationalism blow up in his face, just as I like seeing Man United dominated in possession so doicare doesn't post for a week
Before everyone starts getting on the Zaza is shit mentality, let us remember that he scored this beauty against Dash Kappei-merda

Balotelli barely qualifies as a footballer.

he's the next Quagliarella. Rarely scores an ugly goal
(yes, Shanks, that was a Berardi assist)

Thanks for the clarification, makes good sense. It's actually even better. In all, we'll only be paying 12.5M€ in cash to Sassuolo for Berardi.
4.5M€ [Marrone's half we sold to Sassy in 2013] + (18M€ - 10M€) = 12.5M€.
If he repeats the last two season's he's had ... That's an abso to the sensa deal.
Marrynomics.
£12.5m for Clyne seems like the deal of the summer thus far. He checks a lot of boxes off, boxes that a large number of sides also could use checking.
Incredible that Saints paid us £10m for Ryan Bertrand and are willing to accept only £2.5m more for Clyne. They know something. Shaw like season incoming for Natedogg.

Buffon should have done much better with that Messi shot in the CL final.
I'm seeing some crazy underrating of Clyne on RAWK and redcafe. You'd think he was Valencia in attack, and Johnson in defense.

If Napoli sell Higuain and sign Immobile, then that's a BIG fucking downgrade.
I remember when I was worried about not taking up Immobile. Based Marry saw the future, and that is that Immobile is no better than Pazzini

Hitch are you on drugs m7? Go eat a garibaldi
What is Immobile actually good at? Must be something to have scored 20 or so in Serie A season before last
By Lambda Go To PostDutch-Slaent, we got Bilal Ould-Chikh from TwenteSmart buy, although you never know if these prospects reach their potential.
any good?
Twente is in huge financial difficulties, cannot offer the kid a new contract, so you probably got him cheap. Seen as one of the more promising youngsters, debut last season (at 16), left footed skilful/tricky winger (right) type, small.
Seeing your team is pretty good at dealing with youngsters and developing them, it might work out .....or he becomes the next Ola John ;)
By fadetoblack Go To PostHitch are you on drugs m7? Go eat a garibaldiNah, they're fucking rank :P
By Hitch Go To PostWhat is Immobile actually good at? Must be something to have scored 20 or so in Serie A season before lastHe's Soldato / Negredo level. Needs the right kind of team behind him, needs to be the sole focal point. Very good finisher, when he is served adequately and manages to get into the groove, good sense of positioning. I can see him working very well for Napoli, actually, if they give Sarri time. Which they likely won't. He'd be a huge downgrade on Higuain though, no doubt about that.
I'm impressed with Liverpool's speed and efficiency with their transfers. All very safe options, too, minus Firmino.
A tad jealous that their club seems to just tell the Liverpool Echo who they're signing, makes for an exciting summer.

Its a bit weird having the Echo with a source high up at the club. Makes them seem like a mouthpiece.
Woodward should get on the phone to the MEN and just list off our transfer targets. There's so much bullshit linking players to United. I hear we're signing Gaitan, again, this week.

By Laboured Go To PostSounds like Abdennour next for Liverpool?
Newcastle United make €17m bid for Aymen Abdennour: The Situation http://goo.gl/Jt6A7VBut if Liverpool do make their intent known, he's theirs.
But Serie A is really where Abdennour sees himself, with Juventus and AC Milan having already made undisclosed bids for the player. From a Newcastle point of view, the player’s agent is very close to Foot Mercato, and one has to wonder whether or not he is simply using Newcastle to encourage more teams to get their act together and make formal bids. Newcastle the pawn, Abdennour looks to make a move.
By Fergie Go To PostYeah, apparently he's told them to do one and they still bid on him :lol
Abdennour is a really good player, would be a great signing for any PL side. He's much younger than he looks too. If he went to Liverpool he'd be their best CB by a mile.
