To me it must mean he had confirmation from Conte that he will be selected for the senior team and never have to play for that incompetent Di Biagio again. Also with Conte switching to a front 3 it is tailor made for Berardi.
Candreva seems to be number 1 at the moment, but Berardi is already a much better player. there are also not many players coming through who can challenge, Florenzi doesn't stand a chance.

Can't stress how good a signing Schneiderlin would be. Maybe he doesn't quite have the passing range Carrick does, but we're desperat for someone who can cover th defence and carry the ball forward deep from midfield.
