Now that we have Cech in, what we need most importantly in my view is a striker who can consistently score. Giroud and Walcott will get us some goals but consistency is a bit of a problem for those two, especially Giroud. That ass goes through pockets of scoring, score every game of about 6-7 games then the next 10 games he will get you nothing while squandering chances, then he'll score again but overall too many points dropped because we didn't score. Late season no goals against Chelsea, Sunderland and Swansea good example resulting in drop points in every game.

Ofcourse it's a step up, but not the right one. If you go to Russia from the Eredivisie everyone laughs at you and you have basically destroyed your career. Wijnaldum is already better than Strootman in my opinion.

Well, I'm sure Levy will be able to agree on terms with Kolomoisky, lol. I think the risk for buyes is manageable, rumours says that Konoplyanka asks 3.5M€/Year contract, if something go wrong they still will be able to sell him after a year for more than 5M€, that's for sure, so they will not really loose any money.
