Back under 100kilos. 16 lost since Feb 13.
Feels good busting out some of my clothes I had pre-pandemic.
Gonna try to lose 5 move and start running again when I hit 95.

By barber Go To PostMay I ask how tall you are, Shanks? Always pictured you as 6'1
Hahaha, I wish.
5’10.
Started working out again. Doing runs and fifteen minute sets with timed breaks every weekday. Got the Men's Fitness book
Honestly more intense preplanned workouts that take less time is a lot better than doing the same thing every day for over an hour with indeterminate breaks inbetween reps. I'm an idiot

My nephew made the lacrosse team, he has never played it before but his friends pushed him to try out and he made it. He can already split dodge and has the basics down, he has played and excelled at baseball, soccer, flag football and basketball. He just turned 12, so now we start plyometrics in between his lacrosse practices. I know nothing about Lacrosse, but I been watching videos and working with him and he's made a huge leap in a week cause of some similarity to basketball.
Gonna do an agility and speed program with him + dot jumping, his brother does 200m sprints so he was already starting with A & B skips to improve his running gait which does need some work.

Finally got some scales at home. Weighed in, 18KG down now. Still got a long way to go to get down to 85KG, but progress is progress.
Been slacking on the lifting though. Aiming to go 3 times a week, usually getting in 2 workouts or sometimes just 1. I’m still progressing with the loose workout schedule at least. I feel if I really lock into 3 a week, I could get back to my old PBs for squats, bench, deads and OHP within 3-4 months from now. I’m not far off it for deadlifts or bench currently tbh.

man i was hoping Delaney or Gavin would win but Jesus went nuts
glad to see Taylor busted down a peg he's corny af
Got my nephew his cleats, he said he gonna write "I am him" on the heels. The level up this summer is gonna be crazy. Gonna get his older brother some sprinting spikes next.
Dropped 2kg last week, but also collided with a concrete bollard whilst cycling. Not a lot of physical activity this week 😅
Are all modern plyometrics agility programs just shit we did as kids? I always wondered why I could jump so high "naturally" as a kid but looking at all the agility programs being sold for kids, it's just shit I did when I was outside playing with friends or my sister. I used to play hopscotch & double dutch with my sister and her friends, I'd play taps which is just the active jump shit, and box jumps for me was just going outside with my friends and jumping steps in front of the building to see who can get higher up.
This is advanced hopscotch

And goofy as hell. Young adult/kid sports workouts COMPLETELY neglect stability, flexibility, and general conditioning emphasis. Its always explosion or some deliberate action/form.
Way too many ppl chop their kids' athletic careers in half by focusing too much on the cool stuff. Hip stability drills and bands will keep your knee caps where they're supposed to be.
I shit on my school a lot, but duke sports medicine would have its grad students on our practice fields and gyms unfucking all kinds of bad habits.

A lot of that modern stuff is just made up to sell accessories and template programs to people that don’t know any better

Which is free and like some light warmup stuff to prevent injuries (with studies) and we been doing band work as well.

Yeah a lot of them are just your standard track programs with A skips, B skips etc and the agility stuff is all just stuff from football practices.
By Lunatic Go To PostLooks like something domino would do to impress a white.💀💀💀

Did 40 miles on the bike yesterday, after a 16 hour fast. Got home, showered, went for a nap before I was to cook.
Didn't get up until 20 minutes ago lmao. Not even hungry.

21kg lost in under two month.
Did a couple of easy 3km runs this week, and my body has held up well. Felt good running for the first time in two years and the first time without a mask since December 2019.
Time to really kick things up a notxh soon.

Enjoying being back on the bro split from push/pull/legs. Days are more fun and seeing more good muscle damage

Got some video of my nephew playing lacrosse and while he did well I noticed something that needs to be corrected ASAP or else it could lead to serious injuries later on. While running in cleats his foot is pointed out entirely too far and it's pointing his knee out as well, it's not every step but if you watch it happens sporadically. Will now do hip abductor work and more with him to stop that from happening, other than that the coach expects him to score a lot of goals this season despite the fact he's never played, in part cause he said he's fast :Inserteyesquintofsubtleracismdetected:
Every time I change splits, I think I'm not doing enough volume. And every time I'm sore as fuck the next day.
Anyone here got a home rowing machine? Just need it to be foldable, reasonably quiet and have a decently high resistance. Most common complaint I've seen about the cheapish ones is that the maximum resistance isn't high enough.
My Dad used to have one and it's the only piece of fitness equipment I can actually see myself bothering to use.

Got a C2, it's nice but barebones and not techy.
Heard the new Hydrows are nice.
At a grand C2s are just out of my price range considering that there's a chance it'd just end up rusting in a shed after a few months. Maybe I can convince my brother to go halves on a more expensive one, don't really trust these £200 ones.

What's your budget, NG?
Thinking of going for the higher end of the beginner's range which are around £350 from what I've seen. I'd be happier using a cheap one a lot and then buying an upgrade than I would going straight for the expensive one I think, even though it'd cost more in the end.

Gotcha, as they say, buy once, cry once.
