Knew after that hill at 14k that I wouldn't make it but finished strong after some depressing Ks after the Rasputin hill 💪
Edit: Almost on my level Kipchoge

By domino Go To PostWhat’s the recovery like on a half/full marathonColleague at work did a marathon 2 weeks ago. One week did nothing of exercise, second week 2 light runs, etc..
Should be 1 - 2 months of recovery but he's got an injury so maybe more for him.
By domino Go To PostWhat’s the recovery like on a half/full marathonMy Garmin told me four days but I'll go out for a light run tomorrow.. (which I'll continue to do but yeah a week at least)
Was at a wedding over the weekend and felt tubby as fuck, wasn't really comfortable. Final push to get me off my dumb shit and get my fitness and physique back to where it was pre-lockdown. Legs are massive because of the cycling and football, but I've been doing fuck all with weights for a while.
So easy to fall off :(

By Burt The Samurai Go To Postdiscipline is a motherfucker friendGood start today though. 30 miles cycling, hour of 7 a side footy, just finished up at the gym. Breaking a 24 hour fast.
Probably going to be crawling up the stairs on all fours when I get home 😂
By Batong Go To PostWas gonna say, that schedule after nothing begs for an injury Fascismo 🤣I was careful 👀 lots of stretching today. Spent most of the shower time at the gym spreading myself out
By Batong Go To PostOh, sounds dirty, hope no one else got a look in
Seperate shower cubicles ftw
into PR week of this program and im so cooked lmao
deciding to learn sumo deadlift during the heaviest part of this block was not my greatest idea

Been working out with my nephews, the 11 year old has an actual chest and V-shape going on that's hilarious cause of how young he is, and the 13 year old is now 5'10 and about 155-160lbs with visible abs. The older one been doing cross country and has lost a lot of baby fat in the last year, his face is chiseled looking now with a defined jawline. Once his cross country & basketball season are over we gonna start doing strength training, he said he wants to learn how to deadlift, plus he's tired of me beating in him in sprints so he wants to get more explosive. This type of stuff makes me wish I had sons/daughters, working out with them is fun.
bobby beating his ass lol

you should have them try yoga for body awareness & balance
13 is a bit young for strength training with weights tbh imo but will support any body movements for sure.
And yes for yoga ;)
And yes for yoga ;)
the only thing i regret at that age was box jumps and too much power clean focus. more time in conditioning would've been great long term though

Learning how to stretch properly so I wouldn't grow up to be this stiff and lacking in mobility lol
i've been doing a ton of hip and core stuff lately as im gearing up for squats again and lol... new born babies got better hip stability and ankle mobility than i do

I'll tell my sister to put them onto Yoga, they do T'ai chi with their grandfather.

He's gonna be 14 in December, I'm mostly into body weight training, but I'll put him onto deadlifting just so he has the right form and doesn't get hurt.
Forgot to add, I got my booster today, the woman giving me it said she was glad I was muscular cause it's easier to do the shots as opposed to skinny people or little old ladies. Muscles win again.

I've leaned out a lot, people still call me big man though.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostI'm down to 220 from 240 pounds, but I also started having a dedicated shoulder (and core) day and that's helped a shit ton
I've leaned out a lot, people still call me big man though.
Fuck people with naturally big shoulders. Life's unfair.
The heaviest I ever been was 294, that was when I was doing the same body part 2x a week and people would ask if I were in the NFL, lot of people said I looked like Aaron Donald. I'm down to the 235-240 range, last year I went as low as 220lbs, maybe will go lower but I like Pizza a lot.
Here's a feel good story. Going from the guy who wore jeans in the middle of the alabama summer because he was so subconscious about his legs to refusing to stop wearing the hoochie daddy shorts even in 30 degree weather
Are those like the Male version of Daisy Dukes?
Good job though, I would do more legs but my calves always get to big so I'm only doing them once a week.

By domino Go To PostBasically yeah. If your shorts are longer than like 7” you are off style rn. 5” is ideal.Ahh OK I see now, above the knee but not riding the crotch.
cannot wait until my coach lets me take the limiter off
its annoying af being in the early part of a training block when everyone you work out w/ is PRing
i see why people make up stuff like "rep PRs" and "RPE PRs" and stuff just to keep the dopamine hit flowing

Kind of weird how t bar rows feel like they've kind of fallen off in favor or bent over rows/deadlifts
I love them specifically for this clip of Ronnie (and Arnold doing them too obviously)
Something about them just makes you feel strong af

22 lb PR on deadlift today to hit 396
training w/ the monsters is paying off quick it's easy to make progress when you got folks casually hitting 600/400/600+ to train with
