Fucked my left arm up bad by overworking upper body. For the past few weeks there's been tingling in my left finger and general pain in the bicep to shoulder area. Went to a chiropractor and doctor--I'm on NSAIDS twice daily for a while and doing some therapy stuff. Seems to be improving. Just need to cut for the beach so I'm good with avoiding upper body lifts for a bit.

Other than lifting and about 6 games of soccer i spent all 2020-Feb 2021 on the couch.
So I put the PL stuff aside for a bit to get reacquainted w/ my body athletically since outside activities are ramping back up. Not trying to snap some shit up because my brain is trying to do some shit I was doing daily 14 months ago
I still try to get in 1 Bench and 1 Squat day each week just to not totally lose there
Hot and dry today, bashed out 30miles on the bike and am now sitting at home with a Guinness. Can't wait to be able to get a "proper" one from a pub in a few weeks.

You should be heavy benching dumbbells then, especially if you don't always have a spot. I progressed so much faster than people who were using barbells, once I got to repping 120lbs dumbbells I was able to bench 315 barbell pretty easily. It took less than a year from when I started too.
My mindset was if I can rep 80lbs dbs, I can max 90, once I can rep 90, I can max 100, once I can rep 100 I can max 110.
I honestly didnt think I had a full 90 in me anymore but when you end up w/ no subs you have to do what you have to do.
Very satisfying to see the work during the week pay off directly on the weekend and push past some mental barriers.

Helped it with 20 miles on the bicycle through the countryside today. Sheep around the area are all at different stages of lambing, so it's cool to see all the newborn lamb chasing each other around. Gonna make some good kebab in the future.
