I've been doing swapping out different exercises every week while keeping 2 standard ones per muscle group and I'm pretty surprised how much of a difference it is.
Back at 91 kg at the moment, might try and push on to 95.

ditched the bike in 2020 in favor of the stairmaster and i notice a world of difference in my cardio and i'm probably as cut as i've ever been
once i move in march i'll be cooking a lot more so i'd like to go for a 10-15 lb bulk but w/ playing in soccer, flag football and basketball leagues i doubt thats going to happen until the summer at least. feels good to start sports actually sharp and in-shape for once instead of playing my way into it.

Yea I find mixing it really helps too.
Started at 72kg beginning of the month, now 81kg or thereabouts.
Could really be alot more consistent with my eating though (calorie intake) its just really long prepping or eating all that food.
Quite curious to see how much I gain before summer. I'm sure its probably easier to put on in the beginning though.
Outside of a couple days, I've been out of the gym for the last 2 weeks. One was a break and work related and then the other week was dealing with insurance/replacing my car and working around that. Feeling like a real bum, but I'm going back tomorrow and hitting it hard.
I can see how people who actively don't like working out can fall off. I don't even know if I would recommend someone doing it if they don't like going to the gym. I like going, but I just don't have time. Can't imagine forcing yourself to go.

I’ve been out with the flu since Wednesday and it’s absolutely killing me. I miss the habit of going more than anything
i just want to be this swole although i know it's gonna be absolutely pointless for soccer and basketball
same height but bruh got about 25 lbs on me

Why? In my personal experience it was dudes more impressed with how I was built than women when I was bigger. Guys randomly asking you what's your routine or diet questions. I got more love from women when I leaned out and looked more like a basketball player or a boxer than a weight lifter.
I just want to see what’s possible for me if I continue to dedicate myself to it. Even comparing myself to the picture back in August I can see a lot of change even though I’m still carrying 160
Lifting for me is my peace like yoga is for a lot of people. So I want to set a pretty lofty goal for myself since I’ll be able to focus more on meal prepping for bulks and really diving into the main 3 lifts.
I might not be able to add and maintain 25 lbs but maybe 15 is possible.

Everyone is really upping the ante on this whole connected fitness thing, but this one seems extremely compelling: https://tempo.fit/
Comes with a barbell and some plates, too. I hate the gyms in SF so I might look into this. And yes, someone found a good use for a Kinect.

That sounds amazing man, if my wife didnt enjoy actually going to the gym (same as me) I'd find that useful. Think its a pretty good product at a not tooooo bad of a price point.

Less and less of social fitness though, let us all stay indoors connected to our screens and look at a video shout at us*.
*And it's missing that bouncing ass in front of me to motivate me.

LOL I didn't buy it, was just letting people know.
I did buy a pull-up bar, gym rings, a dip station, and resistance bands. Gonna work out from home for a while.

Anyone on a plant-based diet? I'm looking to get into one after watching The Game Changers. For the time being I've just been eating plant-based alternatives if they're available and I've noticed that I do feel much better.
Not much of this stuff looks appealing. I'm seeing recipes that call for tempeh as a bacon substitute, and tofu being used in everything. If anyone is plant-based where do you get your recipes from?

Just came back from my first decent ride since wrecking my knee. 20 miles, not massive, but enough after 4 months of not really putting any real distance on the pedals.
First 30 minutes were fucking hell. Last 5 were also hell as cramps started setting in. First steps and all, couple of these a week and i'll be back on par in a month.

And yes, tofu will be in a load of things 😂
So I was continuing to focus on just eating and building muscle but with my job having me exposed to people, I'm probably going to have to spend some time away from the gym so I don't spread anything I might be incubating. I think I'm going to spend the month just getting into a deficit, working, doing some bodyweight exercises, doing some light cardio and maybe some RingFit Adventure. Might buy a pull-up bar. Basically just going to focus on cutting and learning bodyweight exercises until May then hopefully conditions will improve enough that I can go back into the gym and lift heavy. If it's longer than a month, I'll have to call my gym and freeze my membership.
By Splatt Go To PostRip my fitness, no more gym since the whole country is in lockdown until further notice…Get lean, do body exercises.

About to do this Athlean-X workout above. Bought myself dip bars, pullup bar, rings, etc a couple of weeks ago. This is exactly what I wanted.

For as surprisingly exhausting as Ring Fit Adventure is, I'm definitely going to need to find a way to replace the gym. Moving in the next week, so hopefully I can set up some bars at the new place
